Surely you're more interesting than Mary Bennett but, if given the choice, Mr. Collins instead of Mr. D'arcy? Whatever you've been drinking hasn't improved your judgment.
Excuse me, can I just say you have the face of a Disney princess. You look absolutely magical! The lipstick you're wearing in your profile pic suits you very well too.
Psst. Over here From an aspiring makeup artist, here’s a tip: concealer never conceals. Use the color correcting kit to cover up zits, dark spots, red spots, etc... and then use the concealer to cover up the spots you covered up It helps a lot
Lioness Strange as a professional makeup artist I can confirm this is true, color correcting is the way to go! Concealers with an orange undertone for dark spots (dark circles, veins or sun spots) and a yellow or green concealer for red spots (acne or rosacea)
Lioness Strange Thanks so much! My dark under eye circles are literally the death of me. Does the color correcting (whatever you call it, I'm a trans guy, makeup is not my forte) have to match your skin tone? And same with concealer?
Husk Crow The color correcting kit doesn’t have to match your skin tone, but the concealer does. www.sephora.com/contentimages/editorial/colorcorrecting/buyingguide/desktop/colorcorrecting_bg_standcorrected_030316_image.jpg Hope this helps!
Husk Crow Update: I got my first color correcting kit and holy frick, I’m in love 😍 I have dark circles under my eyes and since my skin tone is darker, the pimple scars become hella dark and they show. I used used the red to cover up these dark spots and it feels so weird seeing my face without the dark spots and circles haha
"I really admire people whose hair smells good cause mine always smells like a dog" I felt that in my soul. My hair will not keep that shampoo smell for more than half an hour, then it's back to smelling like... human 🙄
LMAOOOOO they were playing "the ketchup song" at the regency ball???? Man i didn't know that song was from 1808, i've only been listening to the 2002 cover.
I love coming to your channel for historical dress up and fashion education, but your sense of humor turns the fun level up 1000%. Thank you for making great videos!
I'm currently acting in a production of Sense and Sensibility... you've taught me a lot that will help me understand my character's fashion tastes, so thank you!
Wynnie M EVEN BETTER! So wish I could just fly over there and see the production. Always had a love for period movies. Not many guys (trans or otherwise) would admit that.
Wynnie M hey! I actually saw that last April I believe! I realize this is a hugely late comment, but it was a great performance! Especially liked the twist ending with the modern dancing!!
toodletube YES!! I could not figure it out for months who does she remind me of. Karolina, you are extremely critical about your appearance, but you could easily be an elvish princess. Or a Hollywood star to that matter. You know, playing one of those witty ladies in period dramas.
For some reason this is the first time I’ve heard/put together that Regency Era women’s fashion was inspired by Ancient Greece... but now I can totally see it, especially in your outfit.
I just joined a Regency society, mainly because I keep sewing Regency clothing for... I don't know, no reason at all? Just because I can? And now I need to be able to justify it to myself lol! My best recommendation for suede once it starts to get filthy is to dye it. You can make it slightly darker with the old tea or coffee trick, and in the SCA we know to use sugary drink packet mixes, like Kool-Aid. Lasts for decades and leaves your leathers bright jewel tones.
Where are you that allows Regency era anything at all in it, in the "Pre year1600 medieval garb Only" SCA ? I was tutoring in the SCA for years and could never find a Regency interest group, but really want to as I love Regency and I love 1000 hour hand stitched Henrician Court Tudor dresses based on Princess Elizabeth I as a young teen.
OH MY GOD! I have nearly suffered a heart attack! Don't do this to us ever again! :D (of course I'm referring to that horrible accident that almost happened)
Fabulous as usual! I cannot think of a youtuber that's more candid and completely true to herself than you, it's really refreshing to see someone who's so authentic and original but at the same time blatantly honest. I really hope we get to see more videos like this, maybe from different time periods. Anyways keep up the good work, I love your content! :)
I have been following your channel from the very beginning and I can say that your content is great! I learn a lot, I laugh a lot. I like looking at era costumes in awe because they tell us a lot about the era's mentality. With your sincerity, it's much more fun!
love you bb! I remember your "shoes before corset!" video long ago! are great words I live by thanks to you! I can't believe my intro was chosen for this video! wow, thank you for choosing mine all!
This is it, I have peaked. I have a highlighted comment and she liked it. I am at peace, please bury me with a framed copy of this moment. My life is complete. Thank you karolina, my meme queen.
i really like your videos because of that good good historical/vintage fashion i crave to see and also your good good jokes A++ good videos i like them also i was VERY frightened for your hair oh my gosh i nearly had a heart attack
to clean leather gloves depends if they are suede.. if so use a small brush and lightly brush at the dirty spots then use kaolin (white clay) if that's the color of them and cover up the dirt! if leather.. use a very lightly damp sponge with saddle soap or leather cleaner.. don't get the leather too wet or it will shrink. wipe the leather clean with a soft dry cloth. ta da!
Woah I didn't even realize how long this video was until it was over. It felt like it was only ten minutes. I love your videos so much, we have the same sense of humor, and I'm obsessed with history. This is definitely my favorite channel.
sorry i feel bad for laughing so hard when the curling wand incident happened (it happened to me before, many times, so i know the feel) 😂😂 my dad was watching tv and he thought i had gone crazy 😂😂 only you can make such a simple video so entertaining, incidents or not. i loved it, and i love that regency dress 😍❤️
this is super pretty and interesting and i have to say i looove your hair when it's down when you're all in white you look like a princess sorry if that's weird i love the vid and the final look!
You're so funny, I giggled all the time and thanks for that, really needed it today! Really interesting channel and combined with your sense of humor it's a real gem.
If your hair EVER gets stuck in the curling wand. Switch it off at the wall immediately and in a rapid motion press down and release the clamp handle. Your hair WILL release after a few motions. I hope this makes sense. You can see our favorite queen do this after a few moments of panic and the curl released. If you can, avoid curling wands with a clamp style altogether.
1808 was a important year for Brazil: As a strategy to run away from Napoleon's take on Europe, the Portuguese empire decided to move its capital to Rio de Janeiro. That was the beginning of Brazil as a big player in the international community. All that happened in 1808.
