The heat is ridiculous but we can’t wish winter to be here. Don’t forget it gets dark at 5:30pm and how brutal winter can be when the wind chills dip below zero and everything is iced up and… well you know the rest lol. Ugh I hate winter

Back in the day, when it was unbearably hot, we would soak our calves & feet in cool water & at night we'd drape a damp towel across us with the fan on. We didn't have A/C. It helped more people than one might think!

I used to dread summer because I just couldn’t deal with the heat and humidity. Then during the pandemic, I bought a small pool (only 2’ deep and 10’ across). I also built a tiki hut bar, lol. Now I can’t wait for summer! Just having the opportunity to dunk in some cool water makes all the difference.
@@mikaelafox6106 I saw a YT video several years ago of some guys overseas who'd dug them selves a hole and filled with water to cool off. They were just chilling in the muddy water, happy as could be. One of those moments when you remember the joys of being a kid. Another instance, I had a roommate who came up with clever idea to suspend a tarp from our clothesline poles to make a perfect person size water pouch. It was the silliest thing, but that summer we had one of those blistering heat waves. I thought it was a blessed stroke of genius. ✌️😸
Southwestern Florida here, and while we aren’t too talked about, we’ve still been having monster storms for the past month, and there was a really bad one last night during one of my indoor soccer practices, with heavy rain and lightning/thunder really close by

I'm in Tulsa Oklahoma we have been blessed had a lot of tornadoes around us but Thank God we been missed been over the 100s. We need rain desperately. Nothing serious just a good slow rain for a few days. Thank you Max for what you do.
This "cold" front coming might seem rare this summer, but I recall summers in the 80's when I was living and working in the hot DC area, while having a get-away spot in the woods of central PA on weekends. I would watch these fronts on the weather tv stations and jump for joy when anticipating one coming down this time of year, just in time for the weekend. It was a pretty regular occurrence.
Sure enjoyed watching the lightening coming through Arkansas in our smallish group. Looking forward to the cool down here in TN and the hopefully non-severe thunderstorms over the next week. Thanks for the forecast Max! hagd
I have soccer all week, and two days ago it was so humid! I’m sick of it! 3 hours of soccer is miserable because of the humidity in Illinois where I live. It’s horrible. Yesterday wasn’t as bad, but it’s still super hot. When I go outside and simply stand out there, I feel like a sweaty monster. I hate it. I can’t wait for fall!
Your channel is a godsend, Max! It has become my primary source for daily weather news. I have a lot of family in the Chicago suburbs, where I am also located. I was keeping them updated to the minute during Monday evening's storms, especially the tornado that touched down right by Aurora. Thanks for all that you do!
The derecho did claim a life in cedar lake Indiana. A 44 y/o women. Tree fell on her in her sleep. Not sure on exact details but from photos you could see it feel on an outside wall. just another reason to get to an interior room of your home at the LEAST. Don’t be scared be prepared!
So cold last winter. Winds were blowing and all the coats in the world didn't help. Warmth, even with humidity is so welcomed. Melenaded people, along with age, can't handle the cold. Different strokes for different folks. Thank you summer!
Am in the west tri-state corner of AZ ... been 115 or so ... as much as am used to it in summer?? Would like a cooling trend please LOL!! Prefer this to tornados which can be devastating. God bless you out there and keep you from any harm from bad weather.
All this time with no rain has made the idea of strong winds not good because the tree limbs flying off trees or knocked down, pretty much a guarantee of it in my area.
