had the same bike ten years ago. after i rebuilt the top end, it had amazing power. i miss not having it. but my 2000 cr125 is a great replacement

man I remember going into the show room and sitting on one of these back in the day lol wow I'm getting old lol . I would love to get another MR50 and a Cr 60 to have as a show peace in my garage some day

Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling seeing this bike come back to life :) Great job man,then i spot the two 1989 cr's in the back ground at the end,worst things honda ever made,the engine was great,the shock damping was great but the forks were the worst on the planet and should never have gone into production,they were so bad they had to fk up the rear linkage to compensate for them,i had just sold my 1987 cr250 and that was one of the best bikes they ever made so that made the 1989 feel even worse if that was possible,i cut/chopped/modded them forks and made a big improvement over stock but few months later i swapped it for a 1988 cr500,aaaah life was good again and was back to the warm fuzzy feeling of the 1987 cr250 but this time i had a sh#t load more bottom end power :) and they all lived happy ever after,the end.

Great video! The large majority of "restorations" on RU-vid are just dudes tearing down and old bike, buying $5K worth of new parts and rebuilding the bike. You actually used a large number of the original parts... to include the plastic! Well done! Great video!

This was so satisfying to watch. I did a minor restoration on an 86 YZ250 15 years ago when I was about 20. Your restoration is on a whole different level. What buffing wheel did you use on the gas tank that was in your drill?

BEAUTIFUL work!!! I used to race a 1989 Honda CR 250 and later a 1994 Honda CR 250. Hearing the sound of a two stroke starting and running brought back so many fond memories. That one sounded really "throaty" for a 125!! Thank you so much for making this video!!!
