Shkoiach! That was a well done video. and it seems like the concert was fun. Next year, B"H if the contest is run smoothly the whole way through, there will be many more contestants. I was glad to be in the top 16, and hope to compete next year again

Such tremendous talent of all the contestants! It wouldn't hurt if women are allowed to join next time. I mean, think of Ofra Haza.

There's really too much in explaining that question, but in a nutshell, The men were preoccupied with their own singing to notice and were loud enough not to hear the women. According to our tradition, women may not sing or dance in front of men. There was rumor of a female Jewish Star competition happening, but as of now, the whole Jewish Star competition has been defunct

I'm sure there are reasons but it is unknown to me. I noticed there are no females in this competition...why is that? History teaches us that the sister of Moses, Miriam lead the women in song and dance in front of the whole nation in the wilderness. So why not now?

Why we can not see any women or girl singer? This is the problem with many of the religions like the jewish, the women are treat like second category/

btw i agree with the fact that this show's a real joke but american idol isnt much better there have been what like 12 seasons and only three superstars have emerged from the show.

The voices of women are deemed, in this modern age, to lead men into sin. It wasn't true from 50 years ago; newly observant folks have revived this rule that modest (read-good) women do not allow their voices in song to be heard, even in their own houses in prayer. This whole thing tonight here is rabbonim and beards and singing like cantors, old "oi- oi-oi" Yiddish praying music. Jewish music is so much bigger and more than this Orthodox stuff.

only real talent in my opinion was dovi minkowicz the rest just average - good. some of the junior contestants were pretty good though

I hate to say the truth here but I will because I feel like it needs to be said: most of these people are simply bad singers while the rest are mediocre with the exception of one or two

You...who are nothing but a heartless jerk felt it was necessary to point out ? The contest is over. You are not and were not a judge and thankfully the judges there were decent and good people. You are an idiot. (I felt like it was necessary for me to point out) You jews love to talk shi*t to each other and about each other. Almost makes me glad I didn't convert. I love jews but hate how nasty you can be. (again , I just felt it was necessary for me to point out..i didn't want you to ever fool yourself into thinking you are a decent person)

eeek is this a man only competition? - then call it a JEWISH MALE STAR NOT a Jewish STAR so exlusive to that gender. I understand and respect the religious conotations but at least allow the name to reflect that!!! Very deceiving to call it A Jewish Star and leave women out completely.
