That game gets just as difficult as you would expect a Treasure game to get. Never finished it as a kid.

Also, as I've heard, Treasure did not want McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure to be released before Gunstar Heroes, as the studio did not want their first release to be a licensed game.

That game was also a beta for their excellent 2D platformer Dynamite Headdy.

I'd happily buy that. Retro compilations seem to sell well these days and the McD games have a nice mix of variety, all kid friendly and over a multitude of console. It could make for a fun compilation.

Wow, this actually unlocked a memory that there was an unauthorized McDonald’s business sim in flash, but it inevitably boiled down to exploiting workers, serving bad food or destroying the environment to maximize profits lol

It def got a lot of plays when I was a kid

RPGs are a lot harder to translate due to having way more dialogue. Honestly I can't really think of many big NES/SNES era RPGs that are untranslated other than retranslations of the earlier Megami Tensei titles. (which were translated in the 90s and thus are super outdated) There are plenty of Saturn RPGs without translations however, which makes sense as Saturn emulation only became possible in 2018 or so and the games are super rare. Still waiting for fan translations of SMT Devil Summoner and the original non-Working Designs version of Lunar 1&2. Plus a retranslation/rebalance of Alundra PS1 would be nice. Retranslations/rebalances of every RPG Working Designs butchered while they're at it. But when even super obscure SNES RPGs like Eternal Filena and Treasure of the Rudras got fan translations, I don't think that there's many games left that are completely untranslated, just some games in need of a re-translation.

Fun fact: one of the few consonant sounds Japanese has is transcribed as an "r" into the Latin Alphabet. れ り ろ る (re ri ro ru) Though it's not a European "R", it's sounds something like a mix of r and l. And all "L" sounds in western languages are transcribed as one of those syllables too, e.g. "McDonalds" is マックドナルド, or "Makku Donarudo" if transcribed back into our Alphabet
