Skating with your kids is the best feeling. Great video as always! Nice to see the real stuggle as well. 😅 Not everyone is honest about what effort that actually goes in to it..
That kickflip battle was hilarious and so relatable! Great job getting it man. Seeing you with your daughter is awesome too, this is where I am at with my son at the moment, and loving every moment!
Super wholesome with the kiddo, it really makes me happy to see girls getting into skating with less bs than they used to get. Still a long way to go, but it’s nice to see the culture getting a bit more inviting and accepting.
Yeah as much as skateboarding likes to pretend everyone is super welcoming and progressive, it’s still got a long way to go. Shit, that goes for society in general tbh.
Ahhhh Dude, just watched the rest of your video man, y'all checking out spots, skating with your kid, with that jazzy tune in the background and the high five!! (That board is as long as she is tall!) That's gotta be a good feeling, get em stoked young, it worked on me.
Yeah man I bought her this mini creature complete a while back but she wasn’t too into it. As soon as I let her try the board she’s riding in the video she was having way more fun. I just gave it to her as is. Now she has my Swiss bearings though 😂
Dope spot! Glad I could see the red statue 😅 I know where that is! Keep up the good work bro, you're rainy day sessions are a welcome thing while I'm stuck inside.
I'm a big fat dude just getting back into skating and I can't do shit, so everything is a struggle. I really enjoyed watching you work through that dude. Good video
I Knew you'd Get it Dude!! I'm at the 7min mark, and at the beginning, I just Knew you'd get this... That's a Super Steep bank to simply ride up, let alone kickflip to fakie, with that ride away rail keeping you in check. I was thinking about that corral rail the whole time, steep af bank, kf, fakie ride away... Love your Videos as Always!! Best camera angles and the Whole Process that goes into getting one trick at any of your spots...Your videos Truly encapsulate the Drive, the Passion, that whole Process, that is needed. It's a simply Beautiful thing, the process, the drive, the idea, the belief...inspiring...Thank you Brother!🙏🤙
I love skating with my boys. Seeing her head down that little hill and have fun on it reminded me of how much my boys loved bombing small hills when they were starting to learn. Great video as always.
Those double shots with her rolling in and you with the krook and the kickflip are way to cute haha she's looking solid on the board too man, way to go daughter board 😀
She had a creature mini but that board she’s riding now was my second setup I let her ride one day and she was like “oh this is so much better” so I just let her keep it and she’s been loving it. Girl has Swiss bearings now and I’m on reds 😂
I used to be more abusive to my boards when I was younger but now I’m like “wait that shit is expensive” lol also when I get to that level of frustration I have to remember why I’m there and how silly it is for me to be getting upset
Props for hitting that kickflip fakie straight up the wall, they seem to be a little easier with angle in and out sometimes. Would love to see you sesh that second park, that place looked awesome!
Yeah man it’s a fun little plaza style park on a hill, it’s kinda weird but I’ll be back there soon since it’s near that abandoned place I was exploring
Ace AF1 Gold? I love the effort. I have a similar spot near my work i've been checking out. Once its above -15 I plan to give a go with my winter setup.
And nice effort beating that bank flip into submission. The worst when the battle leaves you defeated (was me and pop-shuvs up a euro the other day for like 40mins 🤦🏾♂)
Oh man I’ve had and still have plenty of those defeats. Nothing worse than trying something for an hour+ and never get the prize. Happened recently with a flip trick I was trying to learn and then the skatepark I was at started shutting the lights off 😭
Pyramid at my local is steep like that! Terrifying lol I can’t teach you anything but I’ve def noticed hitting steep banks at its highest point seems to work better. Especially if you get a big pop as you land half way back down kinda… it looked good tho mate… was super quick!
Yeah I had that limited runup because of the soggy ground and the puddle I had to swerve around really upped the difficulty 😣 I’ll probably revisit that spot when the weather is nice and maybe go for another trick
@@dadboard get it dude! Did my first bit of street skating in 20 years in the last week or so. 5050d a bench yesterday… sentence I never thought I say at 35! England sucks mate… especially where I live. Literally nothing is skateable.
Watching her learn is the best. Just seeing someone figure out all the little things we take for granted makes you realize how fun skateboarding is just to ride on, you know? I get all pissy when I can’t land a trick but like 90% of humans can’t even ride down a driveway, so we win lol.
Woke up to snow this morning so today's a bust. Hopefully I'll be able to land something new out in the wild later in the week. Glad to see other's making the most of winter. Keep it up, man.
My kiddo is usually maxed out around 1 hour... my old bones are barely warmed up lol... good stuff homey, i almost wanna kickflip something steep... almost
I know what you mean about the warmup. It takes me a good 30 min in the winter to feel like I can function on a skateboard and by that time I’m already sweating so if I stop the session is over
Gotta respect that you didn’t even try to ollie fakie that shit first just went strait to it. We have a ditch here in Oceanside that has a similar steepness like that too and it fucks with your brain a bit. Just need speed to get up a little higher up on the bank to give you a little more time. Skating with my 6 year old son is the best. Cool to see you and your daughter having fun with it too
Yeah man on a spot like this it’s best for me to just get to the trick. There’s no real way to warmup anyways lol. I wanna go back when it’s not as wet and maybe go for a varial or tre flip. Thats rad your boy is skating with you, I think 6-7 is the best age to start, depending on the kid of course but any younger and it’s really hard to get them to skate, especially at a street spot
I have an 8.25” with 139 Indy standard and 52mm oj wheels kind of a conical shape I think, I’ve never had spitfires. It is the best for tre flips or really anything flip/scoop. Can’t really land them yet, but I’ve always liked a bit of magic carpet action just what I’m used to. I have a wide range of setups though some matching some trucks slightly wider, they’ve all got pros and cons.
I’m always gonna be biased towards spitfires because I’m just a huge fan of the brand, but they are seriously the best wheels I’ve ever put on a skateboard
Cool to see you getting out with your daughter 😃 My youngest has come out with me a few times but hasn't caught the bug, so hasn't gone much further yet, but who knows... 🤞🏾
My advice is just make it available but don’t push. As soon as I stopped trying to get her to skate she showed an interest. That and letting her try a legit setup and not the little mini NHS complete she had.
