Really appreciate the local groundsman keeping the DIY tidy and skateable. Hyped on your community clip outro idea! And congrats on the Tactics affiliation. Will use your link when I order another set of the Reynolds sliders. So good.
Dude I’m 2 miles from that spot had no idea it was there There’s a bigger skate park in the Main/Historic part of town. That old building is a lumber sales place. Keep posting man this is great
Great adventure around the town made a great video and edit Dad Board Those locals so lucky to have a diy that decent and also with ol’ mate happy just to have a chat pretty cool.
Thanks for tuning in, dude! That DIY is pretty sick, just needs another QP on the other side and maybe a couple more little things to make it complete. If I lived closer I’d definitely contribute
Thank you, Leon, I appreciate that, man. I like to make it just as much about the spots as it is about the skating. Not too many other things like skateboarding that take you through the cuts and corners of a city that you otherwise wouldn’t have any incentive to explore.
Great edit! Loved the nose slide and grind on the ‘it’s the bikes that done it’ tall wall/ledge. The Nollie over the ledge towards the end was sick too, great idea for showing other clips at the end 👊🏻
Thanks dude. I try to get out on missions like this when I can but it ain’t easy to travel very far with all my real life obligations. I’m just lucky my wife is supportive of my addiction.
I love the DIY concept. Back in the late 90s, there was a pretty big community built DIY park in downtown Sac at 19th and R. It was so much fun. There's a Safeway there now.
Hello from Grass Valley, when I was a kid skating that school with Cardiel and Toad , John boardslid that massive rail, no cameras no nothing just got it for fun
@@shshshaw1984 I was surprised I got a session on that thing tbh. Must have just been good timing. Auburn is fun, I spent a lot of time there as a little kid.
@@dadboard for sure that's cool you got a few clips on it. I'm 38 and use to skate all around auburn when I was in grade school and high school. So many hidden gems of skate spots lots of schools and churches but they use to give tickets back then idk about now. But anyway you got a new sub from me brother 🤜🤛
You should have checked out the Grass Valley skatepark while up there. I would go while visiting family back in the day. It looks like the locals keep up on the maintenance.
The last time I was there was maybe 2 years ago, it’s sick but the majority of stuff there is beyond my skill level for transition. If I’m up near GV I’ll stop by again for sure
@@Riv_Flow skate it while you can cause they're demolishing it and building a whole new park. Not sure exactly when but they recently got the new design.
I love when you take trips out reglur area. But I do miss you skating the big red crub. Because of you I was riding the bus home I rod pass this small look like a frame to ledge. You inspire me to wax her down. Can't wait for your next video
It’s been awhile since I visited big red. That spot looks way better than it is to skate tbh. It’s always kinda sticky and the ground tilts downwards at an angle so you gotta approach it weird. I do kinda miss it though, maybe I’ll do a night mission soon
Hell yeah, thanks dude! I was riding those in this video. I basically swap em out for 95% of street spots these days. I like 99’s for parks but the 93’s just make street skating so much more enjoyable
I stopped in there to use the bathroom while getting gas on my way home to Reno and the light bulb popped, then the light fixture fell off of the ceiling and broke. That place is creepy.
I used to live across the street from the high school. I used to take my daughter on walks through there when she was a baby. I never got any spooky or haunted vibes there at all. Or anywhere else in town really. But lots of good places to eat and lots of friendly people. Great place to live and raise a family. You missed the skatepark at the overlook though. Maybe a 2 minute drive from the schoool. It’s the place I always saw kids skating at.
I didn’t even scratch the surface on exploring that place. Definitely gonna go back and just drive around spot hunting. So many little nooks and crannies up there
I live in Sonora, this is accurate. Columbia El has some cool spots and Columbia college is like neverending spots and hills to bomb and has major Ghibli vibes, I notice new shit every time I'm there
Raised in Auburn CA.. I also went that school- Placer High school.. There is a bigger skate park at the over look at the American River . going towards and behind the fair grounds.
@@mpretasky oh yeah I’ve been to the skatepark about a dozen times over the years but never really skated the streets up there. Sadly they haven’t really mained the park and the ground is pretty crust these days.
Yoo Madera (20 min from Fresno) skatepark might be a little too transition but it’s definitely local spots to hit even pros come to this small town and Fresno to film at colleges or the streets!
Haha does every diy got a homeless dude now? Mine has a whole homeless camp in the back and one of the dudes blows off the spot all the time for us. Just gotta supply him with some beer here and there 🤣
