Ricky, YT has been feeding me a non-stop frenzy of old videos of yours, and I've been binging like crazy for the past few days. You're my favourite. Greetings!
First! also.....COMPACT CREATIONS IS BACK BABY!!!! these are the videos that got me into hardware electronic in the first place. absolutely love them, and i just love vibing with you as you make these things. always inspires me to jump up and make my own track as soon as the video ends, on my own compact setup. luv u dude, thanks a ton for this this morning. means a lot, truly.
Meanwhile, the rest of us "I've got one goal, and that's to watch someone else make a track before I hit the sack"...lol Those 606 hats.... chef's kiss!
Picked up a used Digitakt I a couple weeks back for a ridonkulously low price. Thought I was going to get some janky, old, battered box, but it's in perfect condition and making me so happy right now. Ricky, your videos have been a massive inspiration! In it to win it baby!
That’s amazing to hear. when DTII came out I said to myself, the Digitakt just yesterday was so good. Doesn’t change what it can do today haha! Im happy you got a deal on one!
Glad to see someone showcasing the mm2. Was lucky enough to get my hands on one last December and it's an incredible little box! Such a wide variety of sounds you can get out of it and they all for the most part sound great.
Looks like a lot of fun but presumably it’s months if not years of experience on Digitakt. Your fingers are flying on those buttons. Very inspiring. Best ad for this piece of hardware. Oh and video production quality is on point.
Hey Ricky, would you consider going over the current state of your studio at some point? I noticed some interesting things going on off camera, on the Mac etc.
Awesome track! I have a Model:Samples and it’s my favorite piece of kit, would you say it’s worth getting the og Digitakt as a step up or should I save for the mkii?
Yet another inspiring quick hitter! Great little nuggets of info inside the video as well. 🙏 What outboard mixer are you using to run your gear through?
If you say this on the elektronaut mm2 page you get blasted by the producer, he says 15 months is the max wait ever. But yeah, expect at least 1 year before getting the device
AIAIAI have a low-latency proprietary wireless dongle for their newest Bluetooth headphones, specifically marketed at musicians, DJs, producers, etc. (I happen to be a longtime customer (since 2009) with an older Bluetooth module, so I got their emails bigging up the new one lol. I’m kinda surprised they’ve been picked-up by so many musicians, but I guess it works well!)
I wish my mm2 was still healthy. One of the audio paths got messed up at some point, its ultra low volume+ultra high noise floor. I contacted the guy over in France and he said he would take a look but this was during covid with global shipping all messed up. Didn't want to risk it. I regret not shipping it.
To be honest, that’s a pretty classic dying-capacitors issue. That, or an amplifier transistor is dead. Either way you might not need to send it overseas, if you can get a local tech to look at it. I know people who know just a little default to capacitors for everything, but that always annoys me lol. But those capacitors in the audio circuit do literally buffer the signal and reduce unwanted noise; and since they need to be finely tuned to let the right frequencies through, when an audio capacitor gets close to dying the volume just gets lower and lower before cutting out entirely.
