Hey John on those RO systems you need to check the air pressure in the storage tanks. They slowly loose pressure over time, happens to all of them. Open the faucet and drain all the water out. After the tank is empty check the air pressure, you want about 8psi.
Great scott sunshine. A powerful and contrasting front row phenomenon is afoot my friend, between todays episode and yesterday. I, like many others, would want to run fast away from the debacle yesterday, yet you were masterful and confident showing no weakness. Today was not that , in fact, it was the absolute opposite. We all struggle John, but we dont have high heat coupled with off chart humidity, peace, love ya 🌞
I hate working with or around RO systems. Boy I drag my feet going to the job hoping they get someone else to do it. So frustrating and small cabinets and almost always get a phone call because they thought they saw a drip a week a month or two later. .
That's the same kind of filter. They are both 10" carbon filters. Usually a RO has 1 sediment filter, 2 carbon filters and a membrane. Some units add an extra inline carbon filter.
After you service these systems and change the filters, flick the lever up on the RO faucet so it locks on and drain the tank completely. It will take a few minutes. Check the tank pressure and then turn the water back 9on. Tell the customer to let the tank fill up a few hours and completely drain again. Tell them to do it a few times. They should throw out the next few batches of ice if the unit is hooked up to an Icemaker. The carbon filters have small carbon "fines" on them. If you don't flush the new filters out then you will see black carbon floating in the water for a few days.
Funny, I just installed the same RO system today plus run a hose behind the dishwasher to the refrigerator. Frickin nightmare. Turned the water on and bam! No leaks😂😂😂😂
It's like in sports, you go into a game thinking it's gonna be easy, and you get your ass handed to you,old plumbing is a formidable opponent, you better be on your game every day!
