Tbf I was skeptical of A1 animating this because manwha art had really deep and vivid colors and A1 doesn't do that in most of their shows (ironically SAO underworld actually kinda did which was incredible). It's still not where I would like the colors to be (although if they nail shadows I don't care) but in terms of the actual animation I am impressed by A1 they got so good over last 10 years.

​​@@babyyyz7948i hope michael will not read this but since you wanna know ill explain, major spoiler anw. igris is one of ashborn army, ashborn is the shadow monarch. after ashborn decided to retire and find a human successor of him(this is also the reason why system is exist), he tasked igris to test his successor in battle when the time was right. jinwoo supposedly becoming necromancer after this change job quest, but since he completed all the tasks he ranked up to shadow monarch. after becoming shadow monarch he got shadow extraction skill. shadow extraction allows its users to revive a slain beast or hunter as a shadow soldier. previously, jinwoo tried to extract Igris twice but he failed. and then jinwoo look at the empty throne and talk to igris "stop guarding an empty seat... how about you protecting me" and then jinwoo uttered a single word "arise" which is the tittle of the next episode. and he finally succeeded to extract igris and igris become his first shadow army commander. this is where the real story of shadow monarch is begins. igris is loyal, respectful, and chivalrous, to the point that he tends to kneel to his master every time he finishes a battle for him.
