so i don't have alldata. my workers mom had her right quarter replaced on a 2014 explorer sport and they did panel bond under the door seal but i didn't see any spot-welds. is how your replacing the quarter per alldata? how your doing it is how i do most quarters. i've used alldata a lot of times but i don't have it cause is expensive. i'm sure the repair procedures are similar for the escape your repairing.
I had almost the exact same thing back in 2017. A tree fell on the quarter of my Mustang. No damage to the roof, bumper, or door. But insurance totaled it. The body shop said Ford doesn't let them section so it would need the whole quarter panel, which goes under the roof panel just like this one so it would need a new roof and it would need a new rocker because of the way the whole quarter panel comes I guess, so the cost of all that was too much. They could have sectioned mine like you did here. I think my body shop was full of crap.
@@angrybastard7364 Well in the end the body shop got nothing at all because it was totaled. They were stupid to run up the estimate like that, to a level that they'd never pay.
how do you know where to grind on the new panel for the spot welder what is your way of marking it? most grind the whole area but you know the exact marks from the old quarter please show this in a video
If you’re talking about the in floor jack, it’s a Car-O-Liner floor lift. They sell them online on their store!! If you’re talking about the stands holding up the quarter panel, any auto store or hardware store will have them!
