WTF! One of the bigger repairs I've done was this new Suburban that got BLASTED in the left rear corner! I basically spent an entire week working on this massive project. For those of you who have been asking for longer episodes, here you go! Now grab your popcorn and check out how it’s done!

Nice to see these all in one video instead of a long drawn out series. Only thing I’d like to see is the finished result in more detail. Give us a good before and after clip at the end!

We used to refer it as blasted too! I heard stories of years ago when they rebuilt stuff hit far worse than this. I do remember a Jetta and an Accord that we clipped. Another time we had a new 2013 Explorer in the shop with under 1,000 miles on it. It needed both front rails. After we had it all cut apart the owner came in to retrieve something from it. I thought for sure that she would have heart failure when she saw her vehicle, but she never said a word.

That customer hit the body shop master lottery. Your skill, workmanship, and attention to detail is top notch. I’m sure this was all done quicker than most as well. I can only hope to get a craftsman with half your skills if this were my vehicle. 👍

I've been retired for 16 yr's from auto body & watching you brings back memories. You do a very good job and are lucky to have modern tools. I never had access to a spot welder, everything was plug welded with lots of finish work. I still have most of my tools in my Snap On Roll a Way and probably will until the day I die. Its nice to see the younger generation do good work. To many car lot shops these days.

This is so cool, it’s like putting a puzzle together with welds, rivets, body filler (not too much), primer and paint, nice work. I remember using those spot welders at Chrysler, just watch out for seam sealer, otherwise you’d get a face full of sparks.

Thats one hell of a massive job. Either people can pay for the repairs there or the insurance there must not like paying people out. Here in aus, the insurance assessors would just see it from the outside and write the car off, give you the agreed payout and send you on your way to buy another car. At least here we get to see what kind of job it is to carry out the repairs. Big props to you and your shop for taking on such jobs!

I took a 3/4 shank bolt with a 4 inch plate, welded a nut on it. Cut a hole big enough for the shank to fit thru and attach the plate. No flying clamps that could take your head off. Works great for rough pulls.

Probably a good idea to look for one on the second hand or auction market (from a shop closing or such). New... they ... make you cough for one, if you get my meaning. If you have electric repair knowledge, even a non-functional one is worth getting on the offchance it's easy to repair (or for parts to complete a missing set one).
