Utah just doesn't quit... we're simply amazed at this landscape and its unique geology! Words and even this video don't do it justice; you have to see it in person one day.

Your diesel heaters muffler itself has a small hole in the seam, that is supposed to be the lowest part of your exhaust. The reason you have so much carbon buildup is the diesel heater is spitting out minute amounts of diesel in its exhaust, and it’s collecting where your bend is in your exhaust pipe, and not able to drain properly. I would suggest either rerouting your exhaust to have that drain hole on your muffler be in the lowest part of your exhaust, or put a small drain hole in the lowest bend in your exhaust. This will help with both carbon buildup as well as overall performance. Keep up the great work! My daughter and I enjoy watching your videos! She’s 2.5.

Awesome! My wife traded her 2020 RX350 for a 2022 GX, my my the build quality is outstanding. I love driving it, that old V8 shifts so smooth and the ride is comfortable. I’m happy that wherever my wife goes I feel better that she’s driving a landcruiser.

I'm 77 years old and I started winter camping three winters ago. We have a canvas tent with a wood stove. We normally camp in the BWCAW in Northeastern Minnesota. our normal night temps dip to around zero and daytime around twenty. I only wish I would have started earlier. Keep on camping

I commented on the last heater episode about how awesome there are here in Australia. My only advice for you would be to turn your exhaust so the tube through it is horizontal, stop to stop anything failing into it. You guys need to go to Cerro Gordo ghost town in California. I think you’d love exploring it and sharing with another successful RU-vidr Ghost Town Living. Enjoy and keep up the most amazing work.

thank uou guys for sharing your adventures with us, in these absolutely stunning productions, but more importantly, thank you for being such wonderful ambassadors for our outdoors. Your dedication to the creed of not just "leave no trace", but of leaving it better than you found it, and doing so without being over bearing, or, forgive the expression, "preachy" about it, is greatly appreciated. It's a real joy to see such fine folks enjoying these kinds of activities together, and sharing it all with us. Thank you.

My family moved to Utah during my senior year of high school. I'll admit I wasn't a fan then. I didn't camp for years because the Marine Corps sorta ruined camping for me, but about 3 years ago, Milky Way photography pulled me back out. Now, nearly 28 years after moving to Utah, I'm out somewhere at least once a month. Last month I hit the Porcupine Rim Campground above Castle Valley and set right next to the cliff. It's probably one of my favorite spots in the state now.

I have mixed emotions about the exposure of that area. On the one hand it’s an area of mind blowing beauty and people deserve to see it. On the other hand, with the explosion of “overlanding” and side by side OHV we see more and more of those plastic bottles, trail damage and human waste in places that used to be pristine☹️ I support your subtle education effort. Stay toasty👍

Another great video thank you. According to the specs at Webasto you are allowed a 1 m exhaust length with no more than 270° of bend. With only about 180° of bend you should be okay. I'll be looking to see how yours performs as I have not yet had a chance to fully test mine out. Happy Travels 🤙

The soot buildup is most likely due to the way exhaust is oriented upwards. The instruction on mine says that both intake and exhaust pipes need to slope downwards. Something to check …

Glad to see the heater working, giving you the ability to entertain us even more! By the way, what type of hose it’s that. Is it heat rated? I have diesel heater, but with more a rigid metal duct, about 60mm in diameter. not easy to store since it doesn’t compress very well.

But seriously, well prepared it's not THAT cold. It's quite fun! 😁 Edit: its between -4°F and -22°C in day time!

Your videos are always great. Thanks for producing awesome content over the years. You mentioned the differences of the GX and the 4Runner which is great because not many people are in the unique situation that you are in. With that being said, how are they towing? We are getting a teardrop and I'm torn between the two vehicles (I previously had a 4Runner). What are your thoughts?

Easy question. Would you rather have 2 4runners or 2 Lexus..is given the opportunity
@myytchannel6632
@myytchannel6632 2 года назад
Easy answer; 2 4Runners. When you compare the 4Runner to the Lexus with a long list of things, the 4Runner beats the Lexus hands down. Buying any of them brand new, the 4Runner is cheaper. Right off the showroom floor, you can take the 4Runner to many more offroad destinations than the Lexus woukd conveniently like to go to. Cost of tricking out your rig with lifts, suspension, bumpers and accessories is cheaper on the 4Runner. Cost of parts or maintenance items will be cheaper on the 4Runner. The Lexus is too beautiful to put it through abuse like you wouldn't mind putting a 4Runner through. So, the 4Runner wins.

They've stated they take both vehicles in the event of a breakdown. They go pretty deep into the wilderness, so getting help if stranded would be a major inconvenience with only one vehicle and probably weak or non-existent mobile signal.
