i was in the corvette parade today and it was my first time on track. the track is so much more narrow than any camera can truly show. i’ve been to races here dozens of times and i didn’t realize how scary a lap must be at speeds until today.
Beautiful. Without a doubt my absolute favorite circuit in the USA. Definitely my most driven track on Asseto Corsa in VR. Love that flat kink before Canada corner, real confidence corner to take flat depending on the car, and in something really fast the challenge is less maintaining grip and more just timing that turn in because you're going into the kink at such a high speed.
I think it would be awesome if they had an extended race at Road America! You have the 24 hours of Daytona, 12 hours at Sebring, so why not something like that at Road America, since it is the longest track on the schedule at 4.04 miles? Maybe like 8 hours or so? Call it The 8 Hour ROAM (for ROad AMerica) or something similar? Just think it would be cool as a huge fan of Road America and the IMSA series to have a longer endurance race at this track!
