I agree Marie - cocoa butter rocks! It's one of my favs for so many reasons including smell, feel, moisture, and yum! Thank you for this. It is excellent. Peace to you and all in the new year.
Specifically for bulk oils-more than 1L (33.8fl oz)-New Directions Aromatics. I almost never need the quantities they sell, though, so I usually purchase my oils from YellowBee & Voyageur Soap and Candle Co. These are all Canadian suppliers as I'm Canadian. You can find a big list of suppliers around the world here: www.humblebeeandme.com/resources/
Hello, if a charge of an ingredient is both cationic and anionic, what would it be compatible with since cationic and anionic charges are incompatible? Thank You
I’m brand new! I’ve been watching lots of your videos. I’m not familiar with some of the ingredients but wondered are they considered organic?? I’m guessing much better than buying from the store? Merry Christmas!🎄
Welcome! The ingredients I use in this video are organic in the chemistry sense (they contain carbon). You can also purchase organic versions of these ingredients if you want to, though they will definitely cost more, and I do feel like the 'organic' certification isn't always super helpful/meaningful. It can be a very expensive thing to secure for a small producer that creates a gorgeous product, so the lack of a certification doesn't necessarily mean their ingredient isn't wonderful and responsibly produced :)
do the oils need to be organic and coldpressed? another question is I bought Raw organic unrefined shea butter to make lotion bars and lip balm and it smells terrible.. Is it not supposed to be Raw? and should it be unrefined? Thank you so much
This is a bit like you forgot to put the leftovers in the fridge: it really depends on how long it has been. If you made the emulsified body butter just a day or two ago you can go back and add a preservative and it should be fine. If you made it three weeks ago you should throw it away.
Do I need to go back & reheat my formula? I've done research but can't seem to find anything on adding it after it's already cooled down.I have germall plus until my shipment gets in?
I remember when I bought argan oil Josie Maran from Sephora and after I started doing cremas and all that I saw the price of Argan oil and never again! It's overpriced
