And the woman accidentally having signature style of frazzled new mom. Hahaha got me cracking up with your straight-shooting here. It's a good point. I need to take more control over what visual message I send and appreciated this reminder that gave me a good laugh.😆 The examples of people were very helpful.

I needed to hear this today. Thank you It's not about being vain and following trends. How I feel on the inside can reflect what you look like on the inside. And we need the learn to treat yourselves better and feel better. I went to school for Fashion Design but never really followed my dreams. Sometimes life gets in the way and I have to find my way back.

I'm to late ! I'm so sad !! I would have loved to join,

I’m 48, and I’ve been aware of clothing & style as far back as I remember - eg age two. I remember my first pair of favourite shoes which were dark blue patent leather mary janes. I also remember hating wearing some tennis shoes my mother made me wear at times because I thought they were ugly. And wearing the sunhat she made me wear because I thought it made me look like a baby (I was two). I have a very casual style - not really hugely into designer clothes and am more than happy to shop at k-mart for certain things. But I can never just walk out of the house no matter where I’m going, even if its just to get groceries if I don’t feel ‘right’. My family have always thought I’m over the top & too particular about getting outfits right - even my daughter, who does not appear to have inherited the style gene (lol) - she’s more like her father and would prefer to wear the first item of clothing her hand touches in the morning 🙄.

I have loved every series you do and this is no exception. One way people might "get this" is it if they think about what they'd want first in terms of clothing and makeup if they just lost everything they owned for some reason (hurricane, flood, earthquake, tornado, fire, etc.). Every area of the county has some natural disaster they could immediately relate to this. Please know I am not suggesting in any way that you aren't doing a superb job of helping anyone who doesn't understand the message sent by how you look on the outside is extremely important and definitely the most obvious part of you as a person, until people get to know you and don't have to base their opinion on how you look when they first see you. I get what you're saying and this is actually more for about this part of my comment - I see so many RU-vidrs and surely celebrities and others making tons of money and being sent tons of stuff as PR they clearly are never going to use and could easily give it to a charity that helps victims of natural disasters put their lives back together, and I think you'd identify your signature style very, very quickly when you can get your head to that dreadful reality so many face of losing everything they own overnight. I also know the staples are far more important in those situations (water, food, shelter) BUT when I see these RU-vidrs getting so much stuff they never review, test, or wear, and who clearly have far more than they will ever use, even once, I always think about how easy it would be to box it up, send it to a charity, and help those who really need it and would greatly appreciate it. I've said it on so many channels and no one ever, ever does that; I don't understand why. It's easy and quick and it can make a HUGE difference in so many lives - imagine what 10 wardrobe basics you love and even just two items of makeup you feel more confident in would do for these people. I don't know how to get that message out but you just did a great job of explaining why it's so important - especially for people who actually do "get it." I keep trying to get this message out any way I can but with no channel and subscribers, it just never happens so I'm sorry if this sounded cruel or hurtful in any way; that is definitely not my intention. If I'm sounding negative, rude, or anything else, please tell me so I can change it.I get so much use out of your advice and teaching and you are giving people so much by doing all these videos - it's truly amazing generosity on your part and it's one of the many reasons I like your videos so much. I would love any advice you have for me on how to help people, who almost always claim to be generous and are the first ones making a bit deal about how unfair things are doing nothing when they are the few who could easily do something without even missing the stuff. Sorry, I know this is off topic.

what if I feel most comfortable in "edgy basic" but never skinny jeans and never anything with heels?

I have the heavy in the middle body type, I like vintage styling as I'm feminine romantic type, 41 yo. How do I pull it off without looking frumpy? I don't want to be pencil skirt, blazer 1 button daily "as a boss" but that seems to be how "boss" is always defined
