I'm an Indian and I'm going to try cooking the mouthwatering Indian food I learnt from 2 adorable Japanese chefs! Btw, "garam masala" means "hot masala". Sound is different, "ga-rem", the e like in "the". This one is not Malay "garam" (=salt).

In Malaysia, we usually plant the curry leaves outside of our homes.. or take with neighbour.. same with chili and banana leaves.. 😃

In MALAYSIA most of us don't buy curry leaves in supermarket,. We just picked from outside of our house or behind house because most of the indians planted all herbs in their house...... Very easy just picked what u want when cooking..... 🙏🙏🙏

Omg that roti canai clip from senario movie is really nostalgic. That movie was release when i was a little kid. Since then, i often flip my shirt inside my toilet imagine i was making roti canai ahahahaha. That movie make most of us believe that we can make roti canai 😂 u should watch the movie but i dont know if they have with subtitle version.

@@ashahren85 actually, we do. That one house in the neighborhood with curry leaf tree has always been so nice, allowing neighbors to take the leaves, where I have been living (several places) at least.

Garam has different meanings in Malay and Indian language. Garam in Malay is Salt, but Garam in Indian language denotes strength (in terms of Spiciness here, Hot!). Garam literally means hot (about high temperature). Masala is mixture/assortment. Masalah by the way is a Malay word with a different meaning 'Problem'.

You said "We were missing out so much" and i say, .. as Malaysian i feel weve had too much of spices, and heavy gravy, that Japanese Bento or Sushi is our Feel Good Food... light, healthy and delicious. Both dishes are wonderful anyways. Bravo for making this egg plant recipe. Looks so sedap!

You can actually use a big round tray to expand the dough. Flip the tray and use its bottom to flatten and stretch it all the way to its outer rim.

Ichang. One small tip to remove peanut skin is by rolling the glass cup on the peanuts. U will hear crackling sound thats when the skin is peeled
