Bianca’s rates are off. Big influencers like her are getting hundred thousands of pesos per social campaign. Though she doesn’t disclose it here, Alex’s rates are (rightfully) high. So when you see a sponsored video from her, you should know that that costs around the 7-digit ballpark. This is mainly because 1.) she gets millions of views per video, and 2.) the campaigns go beyond video (other social platforms, brand ambassadorship, etc.) and usually are stretched out to months or even years of commitment. All this being said it’s admirable how they are open about things here. They’re literally educating mainstream media about new media. That’s always a good thing. By the way, I know these rates because I worked for an influencer marketing company and worked with some of them in the past. Bottom line is that influencer marketing is a big business. And it’s only going to grow bigger from here.

Di ko gets kung bakit andaming nagrereklamo about celebrities vlogging to make more money. Kung kayo ba, may pagkakataaon na kumita ng malaki aside from your main stream of income, diba kukunin nyo yun opportunity na yun? Kasi ako, oo.Kung ayaw nyo supportahan ang mga artista na may youtube, edi wag nyo nalang panoorin at instead, support local bloggers. Or gumawa kayo ng sarili nyong youtube para di kayo bitter. Being a filipino youtuber is a huge change in your life especially if you get hundreds of views and subs withnin years. And especially dollars to pesos is a big deal. Economy is a big part they really benefit famous youtubers.

Dami talaga ang kumita at umunlad dahil sa RU-vid. Banned sa isang malaking bansa sa Asia ang RU-vid. Kaya dapat wag pumayag ang mga pinoy na masakop ng pailalim ng bansang ito dahil pag nagkataon, good luck nalang sa mga nakakakuha ng revenue sa RU-vid pag pati tayo nawala ang kalayaan sa internet.

nakakaawa lang yung smaller youtubers natatabunan na ng mga artista turned vloggers kinda unfair kase known na sila sa tv given na marami magfofollow sa kanila sa youtube parang nakahain na sa kanila ang lahat di na nila kailangang maghirap sa pagedit or pagiisip ng concept para maging unique.. kase anu mang iupload nila papanoodin padin sila kase nga artista sila... sana po suportahan natin yung mga vloggers na nagsimula sa wala at may sense yung vlogs.

It shows how Alex studied the ins and outs of RU-vid. Very informative interview. However, I didn't like the title calling them A-listers of PH social media. There's no such thing. They are celebrities who joined RU-vid. They are famous so getting millions of subscribers is no sweat for them. But it's not enough ticket to establish the so called A-listers of PH social media. If there really is, then they should be the real vloggers or influencers who are not celebrities. Just sayin.
