That shit is the reason I always explain to the people under me how I don't really care how long they take on their lunch break as long as their work is done by end of day and they clocked out for their lunch. The law requires at least 30 min, not exactly 30 min. So as long as you don't cause problems, we won't have problems.

What i find amusing is you can get to work an hour early everyday and they dont say anything, but being a few minutes late, they do. Not where i work now, but I've had it happen. They never see you working early

And this is why i read company policies. I have told off my managers a few times by pointing to actual company policy. Oh you want to dump your work on me? Per policy only managers can do that work.
You can stay late a thousand times because your boss 'asked' you to, but the first time you ask to take off ten minutes early to make it to a family event, it's "YOU MILLENIALS HATE WORKING!"
Remember when this happened in Japan but the guy was taking an extra 3 mins. The company had to apologize for the employee and he had a pay cut. The total time added up to 78 mins.

I get all my work done in 5-6hrs but work wants me to stay for the full 8hrs regardless so i just sit in the toilets watching youtube for a solid hour or so and then i go in the break room and have my 1 hr lunch break at the end before clocking off.
So this little bird that's been doing all the talking, my oh my doesn't he have plenty of time oh his feathers when others finished their work i wonder about his.🤔
That’s a good point. I was always the fastest and best mechanic on the equipment and everyone else always mad at me because I finished all my work and they can’t.
