I have my audition tomorrow. We aren't encouraged use any short cuts at audition. And if I were to do that at the table, I CAN, but first I'd just have to announce to the table something like "I'm going to put 30 in the main and remainder on the side, is that OK?". Nobody will likely have a problem, and that's that. Not TOO worried about audition. Had 11 students make it to audition (cut down from orig 22). I'm last. :) I've heard one guy lost control of table and cursed five times...and still passed. Others have made many basic mistakes (not taking proper rake, mis-reading Omaha hands, etc) and still passed. We have a multi-day tourney next week, adn they NEED overnight dealers, so I figure as long as I don't vomit on the table, I"ll pass just fine. got a great pitch and loud voice at the table. Plus I read hands well.
This is reassuring to hear, lol thanks. Im starting week 2 of my 6 week class tomorrow. I've been super nervous because it's all so much to learn and get used to especially since I knew very little about poker before starting but its good to hear a lot of you passed and I hope you did as well.
@@zackanderson3521 In training, they throw everything at you almost every hand. Live games aren't like that, they play themselves. But you need to be on top of everything. Just use the process they teach you, don't forget your rake, and practice. The audition was pretty nerve wracking, but I passed. 22 ppl started the class, 11 made it to audition, 8 passed. Two of the 3 that failed are getting a second chance. My first day in the box is tomorrow at 6pm. I'm so psyche!!! Practice and run your table with confidence and you can make it too!
Hey! We ended up canceling our teachable class since we didn't like the platform. Planning on loading most of the course online for free because of this - look for more videos as we get closer to the series this year. :)
this is good and helpful but I have noticed that there's a lot of slamming and slinging of the chips in American dealing. Everyone here slams and slings the chips. It's very distracting.
