I’m a 93 baby who hasn’t seen this movie until my senior year of high school. And yet the first time I ever admired the love between a little girl and her dad was Hannah Montana

Me too. That's what I love about this film. It was so far ahead of its time. All the lessons and values that were instilled in the film is what makes it so special. Having empathy and compassion for others. Being forthright and steadfastfast in your beliefs. My favorite scene in the whole film is when Sarah goes to the market and she's about to take a bite of the pastry and then sees others in four more need than her and offers it to them and then in turn takes the rose and gives it to another in order to comfort them. That scene is so far ahead of its time for someone so young in a children's film.
I think people can learn from this movie that even if you’re in a terrible or uncomfortable situation like Sara was in, you can still be okay. And you have to try to Hope good things will happen.

This movie this chord struck in me is still ringing. My heart just moved forward. I think this had so much to do with my life. I became a yoga instructor from the influence this had on me at an early age. So much love and empathy. My god. All young kids should see this movie. ♥️🌹
It makes me really really happy when she gets her dad back. It’s amazing how it looked like she was gonna loose her dad, but she didn’t lose him. When I was 13, I remember I started to really become hopeful that he was alive.

I was like 5 when this movie came out and i believe 9 or 10 when i watched it. After the movie i said: 'Oh mom, can i have a locket please?😍' Next Christmas i got a silver heart locket from my mom. That was 20 years ago and i still have that same locket. 🥰
Same here. My very first movie when I was little girl. ❤ n it bring me back memories I remember When I first saw this movie it made me cry 😢 how Sara father called her names n she said poppa don’t ever Leave me. N it sad ashame how that evil lady lie too Sara saying her own father die 🙏 but thank god he came alive cus he had a chance to live n comeback n see his daughter Sara. N he was blind when he went away for while to I think war n he had major accident on his eyes 👀 but thank god he was healed n got better. Just to come back find his daughter Sara
It’s like people handle death in different ways, but when Sara was lead to believe her father was dead, she felt like she was quick in taking it in since ever since he left, she was determined to remain hopeful, but when Ram Dass sent her the snow, he encouraged her to be hopeful again.
Say something nice about Miss Minchin. I’ll start. 1. She was a brilliant harpist. 2. She understood the importance of dinner etiquette. 3. She didn’t take Sarah’s doll. 4. She had fabulous taste in home decor. 5. She chose a lovely uniform for her students.
She could have left her necklace. If I was going by the taking of the necklace scene I would say she went to school there with Sarahs mother and hated her.
Many Miss Minchin's in "A Little Princess" movie history adaptations but there's something about Eleanor Bron's performance that remains the scariest and cruelest in my opinion. Which is a compliment to her acting skills! Terrible thing is that I had a teacher so much like her in real life.
I remember when I first saw Miss Minchin, I wasn’t sure if I liked her, but later on when Sara’s world was turned upside down, I was sure I didn’t like her.
SER DAVOS FROM GAME OF THRONES!!!😲😱 And to think… In that role, he also became a father-figure to a Princess. Though a low-born and illiterate, he was the one person who deeply cared for her and loved her. Later on, he was the only one out his entourage who could verbally empathize and get through to a toughened 10-yr old noble girl who held tight to principle and keeping her province safe, when he needed her aid in also keeping his safe. Asking for help from a little girl was NEVER beneath him, for he was taught to read by one (the aforementioned Princess). It’s like he was really meant for the “Girl-Dad” roles in movies and TV, and it definitely shows in his work with how engaging the young actress are with him on screen. FANTASTIC actor, and all the more Endearing!❤❤❤
It’s a wonderful story and such beautiful memories and beautiful wonders of the world. And most importantly a wonderful story to read from the heart of the book and then retold by the most beautiful and wonderful yet amazing family movie for the children and the whole family to love and enjoy with each other. Sincerely Susan Iseman from upstate New York
This movie and The Secret Garden very similar, both girls came from India, both girls their moms had passed away, both took place in the early 1900s, both girls came from money
Hola espero vuelvan a poner pronto está película ya que la he estado buscando me gusta mucho la pueden volver activar aquí en you tu por favor bendiciones
@Ana Sofía Torres Also because the book didn't take place during a war. America was safer for a child at that time, as it was across the ocean from the fighting.
my dad never called me a princess either. i mean, he loves me and calls me sweetie sometimes but he never put in my head some stupid idea like all girls are princesses.
@@saklee1777 it’s not stupid. Maybe now but back then people were poor, and the streets weren’t safe, so it wasn’t uncommon for a child to live in their own world. It’s what saved her life
@@saklee1777 -You must be a descendent of Ms.Minchin.- 😂 Anyway jokes aside but when they used the saying that "all girls are princesses" they probably mean that as in all girls are strong and determined people that are not afraid nor ashamed to have big dreams and that's exactly how Sarah was. Despite all the hell that Ms.Minchin put her through she still stood her ground and never gave up on her dreams as well as stood up for herself when her father wasn't there like the badass princess she is. But it's not just Sarah whose strong like that in fact all ladies are strong like that. This message honestly makes a lot of sense especially during that time period where women were put through a lot of shit and rarely got a say in anything in a male dominated world. Even to this day society is still like that towards woman unfortunately.
Ai hate yutube ai have been loking for full mofi of dis put daers not a full mofie of dis ai even cry for loking dis movi for de full one ai wantto know what happen next
I remember asking my mum “if Sarah was raised in India by a British father, why does she have an American accent?” My poor exasperated mum was like “just watch the film, honey…”
Yeah....and what about dogs, cats and cage birds? Don't you think that a deep bond can exist between a horse and its rider? Someone like you will never understand this relationship. Someone like you will never understand that a horse and a rider can belong together..poor dude...
