Fine hair is more susceptible to breakage. Combs aren’t very flexible, versus a wet brush, etc. It’s more delicate so it needs extra care.

I’ve had fringe before. Best thing I did was Bobbi pin them up, off my forehead. I did this nearly everyday. If I had a nice event, I would blow dry them and it would look kind of 1970’s chic.

Second that! I’m curly.. going totally straight is easy, but would love to know how to get slightly messy waves. It seems like it should be easy but I can never get it to look right somehow.

I agree with you, literally he took her head of hair and "messed" it up the way a parent ruffles up their kid's hair affectionately... Even if I shake up my hair and make it messy it will appear "wider" as in, it takes up more space around your face but she wanted thickness as in "fuller" hair. I'm asian and I have fine hair if you want to max out your thin hair buy Japanese and Korean shampoo and conditioners if you want to see a really big difference get the treatment done there. Otherwise buy "moisture" shampoo and conditioner. If you can only afford one then buy the "moisture conditioner". It sounds counterintuitive because one would think adding moisture would "weigh" your thin hair down but I found that thin hair loses moisture fast so it appears lifeless at the ends especially. When I switched products I found when the individual strands retain more moisture, it makes your hair healthier and each strand becomes "bouncier" which gives the appears of fuller hair and natural movement...

@@pd1889Thanks for the tip. I have eczema, irritant dermatitis - i.e.very sensitive scalp and skin. Trying to find non-irritating products is my problem. I avoid sulphates, perfume and certain alcohol content in products which really limits my choices. I will look out for moisture-boosting things though - thanks!

If you take advice from me, because I have fringe cut too, if you want to trim them, do it straight upwards so it looks like it was already growing a bit messily, you can find like the end of this vogue video (Jeannes Damas does French-Girl Red Lipstick) , I've been cutting my bangs the same way she does, for years, just my whole cut, not only the middle. If you want to make yours look a bit more airy, blow dry the bangs in a way, that the upper layer of your bangs go to the side (and you can let it grow out like that), just like the rest of your hair, and the remaining you just dry with a circle brush forward. And as for the effortless waves, when you washed your hair, put some balm in while wet, and do a French braid. Blow dry it a bit and leave it in until next day morning. Then your brush it out, put some more balm or oil at the ends and mess it up a bit. I hope I've been a bit of help for you!

I have very long hair and I quite rearly use a brush, I started to straighten twice a month and brush my hair every morning like a normal person and like 30-40% fell (I mean not directly, but eventually) out from that. So don't brush your hair too often, detangle very gently. I also started to use a conditioner and it definatelly made my texture worse. I don't know why. But the hair is weekest when wet, so you should never brush wet.
