You probably noticed this but, what I thought was pretty interesting was that 10:30 it says "don't stop" 12:40 it says "can't stop" 14:45 it says "won't stop" It's not super significant but I thought it was an interesting detail to the song.

I'm so glad you are reacting Miyashita Yuu's voice! He has been singing for twelve years since he was 16 but he is so underrated right now :'( I'm glad you love him. Not many people know him and others who doen't know about him and just know about the mainstream/big singer and saying whatever the want judges his voice harshly.. but there are people who have been his fans for over 10 years and goes to all of his live-performance and still are fans of him until today..

You should actually listen to the producer's stuff. His name's Syudou- he made Callboy and Bitter choco decoration. Also, you should analyse Kodoku no Shuukyou / Lonely Religion- it's so good

I noticed that in the scenes with the "multiple versions of himself" the different expressions could symbolize different types of drunks for example in 4:10 you can see an angry person and a sad person (couldn't really tell what the last ones expression was) and in 2:48 you can see a very excited person, a kinda shy person (idk I just felt like that was the expression) and a tired/sleepy person idk just something I thought of while watching, I don't know anything about drunk people irl

So, in case you don't have a long enough list yet :") I mean pretty much all of Miyashitas covers, because goddamn. Ones I didn't see people recommend yet would probably be Traffic Jam and Villain. Penguins Detour also has beautiful vocals (But what else is new?) Also Eve, ones that immediately come to mind would be... Tokyo Ghetto, Last Dance, Outsider. We're still underground has some really gorgeous animation, too! In general Eve is a treasure. I'm glad someone's finally really reacting to this stuff, I was always sad no one did :"( Keep it up!

If you notice at the beggining of the video at 1:51 he's panting and has a bloody nose like in the end so the whole video kinda goes back through every moment before then, with his "life" flashing before his eyes right before he dies at the end.

a couple of short thoughts: 1. the frame with the three versions of the call boy could mean the different types of drunk people; angry, sad, and happy. 2. when he says “no one chooses me”, he my be referring to when he’s sober. the people around the guy only like him when when he’s drinking. 3. OMFG IM GLAD SOMEONE ELSE APPRECIATES THE SMOKY ROOM PART, ITS MY FAVORITE SECOND TO THE LAT DROP WHEN HE SAYS “you idiot”. it’s like... my favorite song rn...

Ok so after watching this is feel like the theory wasn't extensive enough for me so I'm gonna leave my own theory. I think this music video is about *two* people in a mutually detrimental relationship, and so is Call Girl. The stories are just told from a different perspective. In Call Girl there's mention of the girl being unable to communicate her emotions and using alcohol to give her the courage to communicate how she really felt. There are some themes of alcoholism and prescription pill abuse in Call Girl as well, which leads me to believe she also had a problem with addiction, which put further stress on the relationship. From both the lyrics of Call Girl and the phone-heavy visuals of Call Boy, it seems like they don't actually see eachother in person, unless they're drinking. In Call Boy, he clearly has a drinking problem and uses alcohol to hide how lonely he really is on the inside. It seems like they both know deep down that they are not in love and they're just clinging to another person for the sake of not being lonely, but they refuse to acknowledge it. At the end of Call Girl, she (probably while drunk) admits that her feelings were all a lie, which seems to line up with the end of Call Boy, where she essentially calls him out for being as full of shit as she is. They both get absolutely hammered, Call Boy passing out in the middle of the street while Call Girl makes a mockery of him. Because Call Boy being passed out in the street or drunk in the area is so normalized, the crowd doesn't care to make sure he's okay, so he dies from alcohol poisoning in the street. There's my take on it! Leave anything I missed down below!

Do consider the definition of "call boy" "call boy /ˈkôl boi/ noun 1. a person in a theater who summons actors when they are due on stage. 2. a male prostitute who accepts appointments by phone." And please please please take a look at Callgirl. It talks about a girl who also has substance abuse, but with drugs instead of alcohol. "Let's get together" a lyric shown in Callboy. He also says "you make a big fuss about whether it's real love or not, but once you're drunk, it doesn't matter anymore." I feel like he's lonely, but doesn't seem to care anymore whether it's real love or not, because he almost seems to think that nothing is real and that "everyone is a hypocrite". He doesn't respect this woman's feelings (The woman portrayed in Callgirl, where she falls in love with this guy) and virtually uses her. It seems he's hooking up with many women, and seeing many women, along with his substance abuse, hence the name of the song "Callboy". In Callgirl, they are looking farther into how this "Callboy's" behavior affected others.

If you want to talk about details, in the Wozwald video whenever the guy with the hazmat suit appears miy_yuu uses some sort of filter to make his voice muffled like he's speaking through the suit itself.

soooo all of this is basically true, but call boy and call girl all connect to another one of syudou called bad person. at the end of the video, you see a broken phone with a weird symbol, but in the song bad person the image of the phone is one of the first things you see, and in your initial reaction, the girl with the hat (5:11) he was with hr at the bar. but then she notices shes cheating on his girlfriend (my theory.) and she either beats him into the ground and pours alcohol on him or hes already dying and she does it. you notice shes the same girl in bad person cause at (2:17 of bad person music video) you see her with him laughing. but the other stuff, i dont know. i just thought it was interesting that bad person, call boy and call girl were all connected in a very specific way and a weird coincidence that she "finds him" in the ground and pours alcohol on him. the other digging is for the experts now. just wanted to share my oppinion. i love your stuff tho btw. keep it up!!

13:57 the line "an idiot and smoke go bar-crawling" i think is a reference to the Japanese proverb/saying "idiots and smoke like tall places" (aka. don't go to risky tall places), which would then basically just mean bar-crawling is stupid. Could be wrong, but it seems to similar to be a coincidence.

At 13:20 I like how he went into detail about alcoholism and why people do it. I want to add something that I personally find interesting is that alcohol is a Depressant so when you get drunk you get happy for the time being but by the time you sober up you became worse off then when you began so you end up in a continuous cycle that leads you further and further into your addiction and depression just making it harder to get out of the pit your stuck in.

Ok so here's my interpretation of the song... So he lives alone, the person whi is texting him symbolises his addiction to alcohol. When he drinks his mind kinda splits up into different people, (making hime feel not alone and with people.) He thinks that he doesnt drink and doesnt get drunk, when he is drinking. His other 'personalities' start to catch on about it. When he realises what he has done he drinks next to the girl, (the symbolism of the addiction) and leaves mad at himself trying to forget his worries and going into the 'happy' state of mind again, before dying. His addictions standing over him, knowing what they did to him. Might not be right no hate plz

I don't know if anyone knew this but a Callboy is usally referred to as a male prostitute. May seem silly but I just sorta think that's an important little det for the song. I've heard a lot of theories but the one that makes most sense to me is that he obviously is struggling internally, but can't seem to stop his lifestyle of drinking and sleeping with women, just living for himself, no matter who he hurts and it ends up catching up to him in the end where a jealous girlfriend (or customer) ends up poisoning him. Or that could just be his addiction in the form of a person but ya whateves lol

I believe this is about a lonely guy that drinks away his loneliness and it's sort of just a battle with himself. I can understand why other people might think that he was using other girls and abusing them, but there aren't many images of people shown other than himself. I feel that if it was about him having issues with women and relationships, it would've been made a little clearer with more imagery. I agree that the girl pouring a substance on the guy was just a personification of his addiction. I'm sure he did have relationship issues with women (due to the lyrics about real/fake love), but I don't think that was the main message. How i see it, he may have dated the "Callgirl" girl but she didnt feel loved enough and left (rather than him cheating). He tries to drown his sorrows and loneliness in alcohol and i imagine that the texting format of the lyrics could relate to the pretty common experience of drunk texting/calling your ex. The part where he loses it at the end could be either her replying or him just realising how pathetic he seems. The line about a last drink before death leads me to believe that she doesnt kill him (that would be a bit Much imo) but instead he dies of something along the lines of alcohol poisoning, and seeing her at the end is either her truly being there and not caring or him imagining that shes there. Either ways it drives home the point of how lonely he is, and how he needed help he didnt get.
