What magic contraption allowed you to carry all those books back home!? I think it's time for the return of bag Tuesday

Dostoyevsky…only just discovered Woolf’s essay on “The Russians”…fantastic. I love her reviews and essays even more than her novels. A brilliant mind.

Looks like you’re going to have yourself a great nautical November.

Oh Steve! Age of Sail fiction. Huzzah! I have a sweet spot for that too. Just started the Ramage series (I have long procrastinated in starting this series). Never heard of the Matthew Lamb series. I'll have to keep my eyes open for those. Thank you.

It IS time to be refreshing ourselves on the Mantel trilogy before the pbs release of The Mirror and the Light next spring. Thanks so much for further nautical historical fiction to check out. I am excited for a new called Chesapeake Bound: An Annapolis Novel by Thomas Guay, out next year.

I always learn something from your videos Steve. Like today I learned I was dead. Its amazing how some simple facts such as that, can escape my grasp.

Glad to see you back to the Brattle Steve. We’ve been deprived. I recall stumbling on Richard Woodman’s A Ship for the King and enjoying my first foray into nautical fiction.

Some where in storage, I have all of John Buchan's books. Some I liked (a lot) like Sick Heart River, while some I didn't, like Prester John. As I remember it, I like The Free Fishers. I hope you do too.

Nautical November - that could be your thing. I Completed Post-Captain just today - such majestic sprawl. Will be reading the series in the Fall (and painfully miss the ocean)

The Fortune of War just happened to be the last book I finished. It's become one of my favorite series.
