Episode 124 - A look at ETIAS and EES starts in 2025 plus our trip to Torrevieja, Costa Blanca - Between the Lakes
We prepare for leaving the house in Cleckheaton by turning off all unrequired appliances and dotting around moisture-absorbing boxes to keep the moisture and dampness away. We also turn off the mains water.
We get the 268 bus to Bradford from Cleckheaton, then get the airport shuttle bus to Leeds Bradford Airport. The flight is at 4.00pm but it is delayed by about 45 minutes which put our last bus in jeopardy. We did manage to get the last bus and a taxi to our casa.
We talk about the new ETIAS system which starts in 2025 along with the new EES (entry and exit system)
We also talk about how we cancel the TV Licence whilst we are away.
We end up at one of our favourite bars in Altos del Limonar "The Concierto"

Hi guys, guessing you are non residents same as myself. We are getting aligned to do three months on (and the 3 months back home). Question, do you leave yourself some leeway on your 3 months stay (say a week short) so you can pop over in between first a house check ?

Do you run your water before using it when you get back to Spain? We were told to do it for 15mins on cold, then 5 mins on hot in case of legionella being in the pipes. I'm not sure if were just told to that by someone being over cautious or not.

Hi DragonsRoar, we have never had a problem with the water here in Torrevieja. We understand and believe it is very good and clean. We do use bottled water for drinking but I have drunk tap water in the past with no issues. It’s probably a good idea, if you have been away for a while to clear the stagnant water from the pipes but that would apply anywhere including the UK. Thanks for watching.
