#raiders #lasvegasraiders #nfl #raidernation #michaelpenixjr #nfldraft #nfldraft2024 Michael Penix Jr. turned some heads at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine and his tape will turn your head too.
Best arm in the draft, best deep ball passer, Injury free since 21', 1st college QB since Pat Mahomes to throw for 4500+yds 2 yrs straight. Staying put at pick 13 might be a blessing
I think we can trade down and still get him later in the 1st round and as an added bonus this is a good deep OT class and with an additional 2nd round pick we can snag a future starting WR.
👍, Ozzie (Newsome) GM BAL - always stood put on that philosophy and the rest is history. How did that get disconnected (media and fun pundits critiquers)? HOF Munoz (SC baby! LT CIN ---had multiple knee injuries for his 4th selection his year.
@@ladvegas but , everyone is already saying how injuries might derail him , you know " NFL is way more physical than college ! our line must protect him or whomever is the "QB ! , I must admit , he THROWS A BEAUTIFUL " BALL . 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Hard to disagree bro.. I think this draft class has a ton of future starting QBs... not sure why noone is high on Penix or Nix.. only one I'm not sure about is McCarthy
@@Blackone417That’s the worst take I’ve ever heard. Kolten is comfortable and already solidified himself as a top LT in the league. We’re not just gonna move him to RT for shits and giggles bro😂
Draft Taliese Fuaga or JC Latham (both elite RT prospects) at pick 13 and trade up late in the first or early in the second round to take Penix would be my best move for us to make, if we don’t go up for Daniels.
Carl….. I believe Micheal Penix Jr. is the guy for the Raiders…. He’s worth the risk….. The Texas game showed us everything we needed to see… It didn’t bother me he struggled abit against Michigan…. The whole Washington Huskies offense ( especially the o-line) struggled in that game. The Raiders need a quarterback in the worst way… The draft is deep with o-lineman… you can get fill in the gap guys on day 2 or 3….. I’m thinking the price to move up this year is too steep and they can’t afford to give up a lot of draft capital… The Raiders need every pick…. The guy they needed to go get was CJ stroud in last years draft but Josh McDaniel screwed us out of that though….. Nuff said…. Penix is the guy…. He just fits…. Smart drafting and key FA signings and this just might work out?
Everybody struggled against Michigan. It shouldn't count against Penix that he was the only QB who could get his team in the position to play Michigan in the first place. None of these other touted college QBs who DO play for elite programs outside of Drake Maye, were even good enough to lead their programs to the playoff bracket.
I love this video of Penix because literally no other channel or analyst has broke down his game and showed all his skills like you just did. Good Vid bro!
Penix won’t be there at 44 the Raiders would have to trade back to the first, what he’s done in college, the combine, and passing medical, he’ll be a first round pick
@toyasparkman9727 disagree with you there man. Aiden has never had a cannon like that. Penix would be a huge upgrade though it might take half of year one for him to take over. I think another 3qtrs without completing a pass would be enough to sit Aiden
What a breakdown Mr. Cockerham, I've been to many of those Penix games in person as a Husky fan. It's really magical to watch some of the throws this guy can make. If he can figure out how to deal with pressure or if he gets on a team with great OL the NFL better look out because this dude does not miss.
If we can't get Daniels I could see us going with Penix Jr. He just may fall to us, Great content as always would like to see more vids from you, nobody does it like that. Keep up the good work.. Raaaaaaaiiiiiiidddddders
Ideally I trade up to the top of the second & take Penix there, take a RT at 13, another guard in the mid rounds, do whatever it takes to give whoever our QB is the best chance to succeed I wanted JD but he's not happening now, I'm definitely team Penix especially over JJ or Nix
Penix looked amazing at the combine and if the raiders can’t get Daniels in the first they should definitely get Penix if he’s still there in the second
@@raiderfilms6482 I know! I'm saying him being injury prone is worth taking a risk on , hasn't been injured in 2years , Penix is the most NFL Ready QB outta all of em in this Draft
There’s so many talented QB’s this draft. I can’t seem to make up my mind. I just hope whoever we decide to draft or pick up in free agency fits our offense. I also hope they start immediately and we can truly gauge how good they’ll be.
With a good showing at the combine I am concerned what Denver decides to do with their pick a spot ahead of the Raiders. Moving up two spots is a lot cheaper than twelve spots.
He did it playing half his games at Husky Stadium. If you’ve ever been there you know it’s a QB graveyard. If he’s spinning it in the Death Star you gonna see a show. Defence has to adjust because like Peyton it’s a quick strike offense and you gotta be hold up. He’s got the best arm in football.
I'd like the Raiders to trade down in the 1st rd and pick Penix in the mid to late 20s then draft a OT and WR in the 2nd then a RB in the 4th. That's where the value is in this draft OT and WR are stellar and I think because of that some really good RBs are going to be there in the 4th rd. I want them to focus on defense in FA with potentially 60+ million to spend we should be able to do that although a guard in that mix as well. We should be set let Aiden start the first half of the season then worl Penix in somewhere in the second half. I feel that is a very realistic scenario and while we may not make the playoffs (maybe) we should be set after another good draft. I heve been leaving posts on multiple YT videos about QBs for months about why people were selling Penix short he is a great thrower of the football has good feet and movement inside the pocket and all his best traits transfer to the NFL well. As far as the injury factor he is healthy now and it's always a crapshoot as far as that goes in the NFL there is no way we get a guy like Penix in the late 1st round in another draft like this one he'll fall a bit because of all the great talent in front of him especially the QBs and WRs.
He reminds me of Stabler. Very accurate passer who is not very mobile (has had two knee surgeries). I think he was born 30 years too late. He will be pure pocket passer and do not see him running much.
He can run and is nifty but he'll be the guy who only runs when he needs to at the next level for 8-10 yards. Think of Burrow in that aspect nothing world beating just get the job done and the defense honest.
He has a much better arm than the snake had i'm 59 and watched and loved Kenny but he had a weaker arm by a good bit. I also think Penix is quicker feet -wise and could excel in the NFL as long as he learns to move around in the pocket and stays healthy.
Hopefully we can take a RT at 13 and trade back up into the bottom of the 1st if necessary for Penix. Rb or guard in the 3rd assuming things fall right.
Kid is deadly if he plays half of his games in a dome, I’m sold. Let’s draft him and a 2nd round OLineman, and a free agent OLineman. Devante and company will enjoy catching these passes. Tucker will be averaging 30 yards per catch LOL let’s goooo😎🏈🏴☠️
Athleticism when plays breakdown is a must however, it means little to nothing if you can't be accurate during that time. It's the difference between someone like Fields and Mahommes.
I'm starting to grow On him after this 🔴🎥 breakdown and he is a lil mobile and he gets down when he has to. What concerns me 🤔 is how he just locks down on one receiver; what happens when that gets taken away? I really didn't see him go through progression(s) in this/the video; probably cause he didn't have too! The NFL is a different animal. 💬
I’m a Michigan fan so watching him in the championship game if you get pressure on him especially in the middle he can get off his game but I would be happy with the pick they just have to get stronger up front I think Aiden had the same problem last year with our line
I'd be alright at 13 for him. Sounds like a solid pick (worth risk) and creates competition at QB. But the real question is, do we deserve a QB like this if we can't keep the pocket clean and healthy for more than 3 seconds on a really good day?
Know something, More I think about it, drafting him means you snag a QB that has 6 years College Exp (+ or - injury time) that has had more development time. He could be a legit steal!
I want to move up for Daniels BUT if that doesn't happen i wouldn't mind drafting Penix ....best case scenario would be we trade back with someone and draft penix
Hasn't been hurt since 21', led the nation in pass yds 2 yrs straight, Heisman runner-up. 1st college QB since Mahomes to throw 4500+ yds 2 yrs straight. Your just repeating what you heard from some other idiot@leroythemaster4268
@leroythemaster4268 His injury history is common knowledge, and old news.... Who tf are you, the internet character police? Focusing on the negative makes you a hater and a pessimist... good luck in life with that type of perspective.
The ball sails because he’s not putting enough weight on his back leg causing his shoulders to be straight during the throw. He’s got very noticeable Mechanic issues so I could care less how good of a natural thrower he is. Combining that with injuries makes it tough for me to say he’s a first rounder🤷♂️. Give me J5
There is no doubt in Penix's talent, my only concern is if he can stay healthy. He may be healthy now but is he going to suffer another season ending injury down the road? I hope not.
