I'd like to see him after a full offseason being QB1 and some competent coaches and play callers around him.

The QBs in the 2024 draft went the way as fate has it. As far as I'm concerned, Raider Nation needs to support AOC with maximum Raider love. Let's continue to root for this guy's success. Afterall, his success is our success!

Dude earned a shot to be the starting QB. He has a lot to get better at but he showed a ton of potential. Only started ten games but went 5-5 as a rookie with 2,218 yds passing, 12-7 td int ratio, and an 83.9 QB rating. Imagine what he can do with all this experience, a full offseason to prepare, and a more stable team that has its HC and an OC that knows what he’s doing?

I think he could be a our franchise QB arm strength accuracy I personally like him

Draft OL in the first round, defense in the 2nd, and QB competition in the 3rd. Aidan has earned 1 more evaluation year with a competent OC and improved OL.

O'Connell's passes have a much better speed, spin, touch, accurate placement than what Minshew's highlights show. I think O'Connell might keep his spot as QB 1.

I hope a gets a shot to compete next year no matter because in my opinion kid is a baller imagine what leap he’s gonna take in year two

I like Aiden a lot! For a rookie I think he had a great season. Inconsistent but that’s expected from a rookie. I’m expecting him to be even better next season

Watching these highlights, let’s roll. Definitely excited to see what aoc does with a full season under ap. With the addition of Brock bowers, he should be able to ball out.

Deserves another year. Yes there’s some good QBs in the draft, but we don’t need to sell the farm. I don’t know how you can watch some of these throws and not give him the chance to start. These are darts. Add in the circumstances with a rookie OC, he performed well. Stop with the O’Connell hate

AOC showed some growth in his decision making from game to game which is all we can ask from a developing rookie. We dont gotta worry about the arm at least lol

He's a good quarterback. This was a rookie year with no preseason reps, and not being included in the initial game plan. And he was the second best rookie in 2023. He has a great deep ball/timing. With a better O-line he's going to be a force.

I was a doubter of Aiden but he played very Well this season and saved us. Keep AP and AOC build that team and we’ll be playoff ready

As a unbiased Packers fan, I was pretty impressed by AOC. He had some bad games but he had some very good games and overall was pretty solid. I think he also showed some upside and I think they should go with him as the starter for next year. I actually really like seeing this Raider team with Pierce as the head coach and I think they could get 9-10 wins.

As far as mechanics, he looks like Tom Brady. Let this play out and make him the starter for next year. He has potential with that arm to flourish in this league.

Bring in some competition, but give AOC,a full season. He was building last year,he first show out of nowhere. He earned a full season at number 1,it doesn't cost anything, its a win win.

If this tape doesn't convince you why we weren't desperate to get a QB, you must not watch football. Accurate passer and definately a starting caliber QB. Under AP, finished the season with 8td's and zero INT's last 4 games. A full season and we might see that AOC can win the job long term.

AOC has a great shot at winning a starting job against Minshew and whoever we draft. He could very well be our QB1.

He had an okay rookie season. He showed a TON of potential with his accuracy and arm strength as well as intelligence. Biggest problem was when he went against better defenses, he did not play well. He needs to learn to go through his reads. There were so many times where he was so tunnel visioned on who he wanted to go to and never went through his reads quick enough. He forced it a little too much and basically was like “if you dont get it, no one else will”. In college, he had to do that cuz Purdue had no WRs outside of Charlie Jones, but in the NFL, trust all your weapons, just cuz your first read isnt there, look through the rest, they are good enough to get open

You can say what you want about drafting a QB or trading for one. Aiden O'Connell has a jump start on whoever comes in. With about 10 games of NFL experience he has the edge, going into the off-season. because he is gonna get better. Right now its his Job, and if someone wants it, their gonna have to beat him out.

If he doesn’t make the next jump during the off season, he’ll at least be a solid backup.

Raider Revolution...Aiden you need to keep throwing the ball regularly in off season...throw comfortable watch your body become stronger...enjoy good aerobic weight training...Full range arm rotations with 2 to 5 ponds for warm up do sets of 100 it is a swimmers motion...full range arm rotations will affect pullups and pushups...strengthens all ligaments tendons muscle in arm and shoulder...do light weight burn out watch how your throwing arm develops...pullups strengthen throwing arm...Arm Rotations are number one for all arm exercises...

I believe in this kid. He has flaws, for sure. But I like his mindset. He doesn’t quit and he doesn’t lose heart. You never see him frustrated or jawing at his teammates. And he improved as the season went on. In his last 4 games: 8 TDs, 0 INTs, 3-1 record.

He’s good

O'Connell would have made much more of an impact this season if he used his legs more often. Every single game he could have escaped the pocket to either extend the play or run for 4-5+ yards.

I think aiden is our guy he has all the right things to b developed into a solid qb1!! RN4L

Tough in the pocket, good accuracy, decent arm strength (common for rookie) throws on time. Smart, but not terrifying as a runner. I hope he wins the job.

Growing up watching the Raiders starting 1970, you didn't see running QBs. That is a recent phenomenon. Maybe a quarter of the QBs can really run these days. A QB needs pocket presence for sure, and that can be developed. What AOC needs to do is develop the ability to move laterally to extend the play if the pocket breaks down. It's not like Brady was running around like a deer and he did alright.

I just want him to be more mobile an extend plays, and I feel he’ll be set. Give him more reps in the off season, acclimate him with our offense and let’s see how he goes. I def see the potential, just needs more experience and confidence

I liked the kid he showed he has no quit and will line it up and yeah he had some bad plays but the kid did pretty good for rookie that not many knew about him including me. I get it that I've never liked statue qb's but if u can move the ball and make good plays then all good. But respect from this Raider Fan. I hope we keep him cause he does have good qb knowledge just let him grow. Seems like many Raider fans want a fast and mobile qb and I know why it's obvious but to drill the kid for being thrown out like that and he took it in the chin like a champ. Just my opinion I know we all have one.

GMs rated AOC better than some of the QBs gotten in the first round in this year's draft. People wanted the Riaders to burn a pick so they could FEEL GOOD. Nope. If there wasn't an upgrade or potential upgrade at the position, pass on it. I have no problem passing on QBs once the game changers were off the table. Wish AOC all the best. Loved his ball placement.

AOC & Tucker are a problem. I personally think they should focus on him and put alot into the o line . When he has time , he throws very well

When out Oline can get him a hair above average time he makes it happen. I holpemwe run the 12 (two TE set) often this season
