When Conner mentioned the Kirby caffe I remember how Kirby was created. Kirby was named after John Kirby who was the man who saved Nintendo early on after people thought the Donkey Kong character was too similar to King Kong. He saved Nintendo from going out of business and in his honor made the Kirby games to thank him. He died in October of 2019 and I think we should talk about him more because we probably would not have Nintendo today if he did not save Nintendo and we would not have ever gotten to see games like Super Smash Bro’s or Mario Odyssey.
The Kirby Cafe will always be the most iconic game themed food place. Of course, Super Nintendo World did it with Mario, but the Kirby Cafe just hits different.
I remember the time when Super Mario had his face on Faygo drinks. and canned juices like Princess Toadstool Cherry🍒. Luigi Berry🍇. Yoshi Apple🍏. and Mario Punch🍎🍇🍉🍊🍒🍓🍍🍏😋🍹 !
“A lifetime supply of Taco Bell!” I know you already stated this but… *YYEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!* As for a food I’d make, probably that all-you-can-eat buffet that King Dedede had in Kirby Right Back at Ya.
How cute was that Ramen cup commercial? I didn't feel threatened at all. I always thought there was something wrong with the ones that aired here, especially the one when the Pokemon are getting squished in the bus and put into the games. Jeez America we have some issues.
If I was in charge of making Nintendo food? Probably the "I could eat an octorock!" Meal at whatever restuarant is brave enough to serve octopus and acknowledge zelda cdi.
One day, I went to the store with my dad and we saw Pokémon gummies made by the company “Betty Crocker.” They we’re just generic flavored gummies, but in Pokémon shapes. (Pikachu, charmander, gengar, ex.) They were alright, I suppose.
I’ve always had a cooky craving for that Yoshi Cookie from Paper Mario! Yum yum! But yeah!! Keep your old-man cars, Taco Bell We wanna game with all that 64-bit goodness!!!
I did see some of those Pokémon doodles commercials and I did try what are the flavors for myself? Just did they actually which I actually got it yesterday from the store and holy hell I thought I would never find them
Bro same the kirby cafe was lit Unfortunately its no longer open or at least no longed themed But hey kirbys 30th anniversary is coming up so it could come back ( even for a limited time)
I remember in the early 2000s,HEB had gummies that looked like nintendo characters.u get 6 of them in a plastic gba case.they were big for gummies.i remember collecting the different colored cases,so i can store 1 gba game in each of them
To be fair it seems Nintendo toy or plush merch usually sell well, but it mostly is just outsourced on another company and they got money from the license instead.
Looking at the pokemon cereal ad reminds me. I saw Pokemon cereal on the grocery store shelf literally yesterday, and got it. Tastes like Trix with Lucky Charms marshmellows.
If I made a Nintendo food, It would be waffles that are shaped like NES cartridge...of 5 games. Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Kirby’s Adventure, and Mega Man.
To anyone who hasent listend to the kirby cafe soundtrack please go listen to it its seriously some of the best remixes the kirby series has to ofter making like actual amazing remixes that completly change the mood of intense or sugary songs into just super happy like downtempo and jazz arangements there is even a straight chill out remix with chiptune instruments
I wonder who's out there right now, enjoying their lifetime of Taco Bell thanks to that Nintendo sweepstakes. And if they're still a Nintendo fan, or have jumped ship to Microsoft, or Sony.
Banana pizza is actually a thing in Sweden. Specifically, banana curry pizza, which uses a curry sauce instead of a tomato base. I'm just confused as to why it popped up in Japan. Can someone help me with this?
