He didn't mention why a 50+year old airplane design costs more than a quarter million dollars. I was looking for the factory department that puts in the gold plated rivets.
@@user-jp3ru1dw3k All the testing you could possibly ever do to the 172/182 was done 50 years ago. the tooling was paid for 50 years ago. It's not about that.
I worked at CESSNA back in the first start-up of the plant. I was an A&P mechanic but they laid me off because of my RESERVE STATUS. I like working there but got frustrated with the management of the plant.
may be you can help me. I have a Cessna 152, sphwk-1977,78 and I am trying to find skis for it, I live in BC, ca,,,,can you help me on this, great vid,
so it took them years to figure out that installing the propeller early in production means it will get in the way and the plane is harder to paint ????
masih menjadi momok di dunia penerbangan dunia bila mesin mati saat terbang & kalau jatuh pasti hancur pdhl untuk mengatasi semua itu cukup mudah cukup pasang parasut di punggung pesawat coba uji
They need to modernize the 172 because nobody want to buy this airplane except for flying schools, and they are looking for other modern planes than 172.
What do you mean? Has a Garmin g1000 glass cockpit, can't really get any more modern than that. Flight schools are looking for an aircraft that's simple, reliable, and cost effective to operate. The 172 has been a staple of flight training for decades, and as the saying goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." If it's speed your looking for, than the 182 is essentially a faster 172.
This video sucked, we want to SEE the manufacturing process, not hear some guy talk about removing inventory 17 times in jargon with like 7 extremely basic shots
could be worse, Kelly. they could be 2 stroke engines. the propeller makes as much noise as the engine, so they don't silence the exhaust...it doesn't make much difference to total noise levels. only one thing to do - learn to love grass cutters !
