@@JennyJournals I've never seen Daniel Smith paints in a Michaels, or any decent watercolor brushes. You might like Arches Hot Press better because it's smoother surface and better for ink or fine details. The cold press is for traditional watercolor that often is wet on wet, or starts with the entire page covered with water and then layers built up on that.
The red mushroom caps with white spots are called “fly agaric” AKA amanita muscaria! They’re so beautiful. When I was studying them, I found that their are ways to detoxify them, though toxic if eaten raw, but people using them for psychedelics often report extreme nausea.
I’m gonna make it into a separate video which I’ll probs put up next month 😊 since it’s a whole new process that I’m still in the process of learning since I send them for production now!
@@recoveringsoul755 they are indeed poisonous and they can be used for a sort of fly-trap. I believe by taking the red skin of the mushroom and put it on a plate with milk and sugar. This will attract the flies to drink from it and kill them. Thats why the name translates to "fly mushroom" in so many languages
Totally agree with you on the movie vibes, fun spooky, no over the top horror, just too stressful or icky weird. Love your style and thank you for these great inspirations and great artwork ✨☺️🔮
We have red mushrooms with white spots growing under our spruce trees here in the PNW. They're Amanita muscaria if you want to look them up. Thicker stems, but totally the typical toadstool mushroom you imagine.
I am exactly the same way, I only watch fun kid Halloween movies, while my hubby and son LOVE horror films. Everything turned out fantastic, and it’s so awesome you were sponsored by Michaels!!
Fly agaric mushrooms! They grow near conifer trees (like pines). Amanita muscaria. I found some giant ones this summer they were about 8 inches tall. Also loooooove your art! 🌙✨🌿
OMG, I honest to goodness would LOVE to have a teapot exactly as you designed and colored yours! I used to have a teacup and saucer in similar colors that I completed at a DIY pottery place but it shattered!
Thanks for this beautiful video. Inspired me to get back to painting again after a 6 week break. FYI... it is pronounced "Quin-ACK-ruh-doe-n". Lovely result. can't wait to see the stickers.
This is so so pretty! I've actually seen red mushrooms with white spots. They're not common here, but every once in a while I'll see them on a fall hike.
Right now I’m listening to all the Harry Potter audiobooks for the first time! I’ve read all the books and seen all the movies twice in two years lol😅 it’s just so magical and I can’t get enough!
I'm pretty sure the white dots on red shrooms are death caps, Amanita something or the other. You wouldn't see them in shops or urban areas etc, but they're pretty mundane in like forested areas
I feel the same about horror movies. Halloween town is right up my alley. 😁 The mushrooms are called amanita, and are extremely poisonous. They’re quite pretty though.
I’ve just put my partner through a Harry Potter film marathon last year and again this year. I’m not sorry haha! The painting looks so magical and cozy autumn vibes 🍂
I love your videos! They're so relaxing and you're so talented! OMG YESSSSS I remember that episode of Fixer Upper! I loved that house. The door was totally awesome!
New subscriber here! Lately I've been doing watercolor and gouache just to take the risk in transitioning from graphite and characoal mediums. Love these motifs you made to make me inspired to paint more! Thank you for making this 🥰
I love your style so much. And yes I also love those imperfect rainbows haha.... Im in The Netherlands and we have those red, white dotted mushrooms a lot. Yesterday I made a walk and we saw a bunch of them. You should come over once haha..... Im ordering DS soon, will note that burt sienna, i love it too :) Thanks for your hard work in the night haha
Aah I'm so exited you're doing sticker sets again 🤩 yours are my absolutely favorites, they really motivate me to create new journal spreads and they are always such a beautiful addition
I LOVE all your videos except, I wish they were longer 😆 I could seriously watch your videos for HOURS! I do binge watch all your older videos but seriously, an hour for each video would be amazing 😉 at the end of the day, relaxing and watching a long video of yours would be heavenly
There are red spotted mushrooms 🍄 here in North Carolina I seen them in the trails at Appalachian trail in MT. Mitchell highest mountain east of the Mississippi River (:
I can't praise you enough for the beautiful art and gift that you have. And that you are kind enough to share your work. My goal is one day to be able to do the same and hopefully have enough courage to sell on etsy. I have no clue how I'm gonna do it and I am scared but I know I can do it. My inspiration this year has been down. I came across your video today and I can not stop watching your uploads and learning from them. Thank you for sharing 💛🌻
5 am!!!! you put yourself under a lot of pressure! I love the whole page but when I saw the mushroom, I knew that was what I wanted to do! It was like "ooooh MUSHROOM!" haha Now, somewhere in my journal, there is going to be a red-spotted mushroom. I so enjoy your journal videos and am looking forward to the next one.
omg I love this, I don't know how many times I've watched this now its so relaxing and your style is sos so aesthetic :) I was just wondering where you got that paint palette from its beautiful and I would really like one :)
Love your art and chill vibes as always! I just wanted to comment and let you know that Uniball does actually make a smaller point Signo pen! The original white signo is 1.0mm, but if you search for "Uniball Signo Angelic" you can get a 0.7mm white signo pen. I have it and it works just as well if not better than the 1.0mm Signo!
Hi Jenny, I love your artwork. I saw your old videos on how to make stickers. I was just wondering what brand of printer you are using now, to print out your stickers, before it goes to your Cricut machine. I read so many bad reviews on different brands of printers so I'm confused about which brand to purchase. Also, can you make a video on how much you made on your sticker business? Did you start out doing part-time and then worked your way into fulltime as your business grew? I'm burnt out from my healthcare field and looking for a side hustle that I can turn into fulltime work. Thanks so much. -Tia
You got me super excited for this spooky season and doing some doodles. Question, where did you get your tarot cards from? I love the simplistic desing of the box and I am super curious about the cards itself. Please let me know!
I live in Finland and when it's fall the red white spotted mushrooms are evvvverywhere lol. They are poisonous btw. In Finnish it's called 'kärpässieni' which translated straight to English is 'fly mushroom' but apparently it's called 'fly agaric'.🍄
