Today I fish for Maryland dragons in Dorchester county Maryland. I catch my Personal best Northern Snakehead, a Giant 11+ pound behemoth. The chatterbait bite was pretty lit.

I gotta get a kyak, I am so envious of you guys that can go into these shallow waters and target these dragon snakes. Congrats on your PB, I let my PB go because my experience with other fish is that the smaller ones are always better eating. When the snakes are aggressive they destroy that chatter bait.

Nice job, brother..hell yeah!. My PB snakehead also came out of same spot a year ago. Likewise, i got it on a chatterbait. There are some absolute hogs back up in there. Sadly, it has become nearly impossible to get a parking spot at the launch, though.

In HA county that big? Near Bush River or...I grew up in Belair fishing farm ponds, Bush and the Susquehanna but moved closer to Balt. 6 or 7 yrs ago- Ik they're in the Susquehanna but harder to find there, sure they spread to Bush by now probably too

@@HooksetTv me too I’m coming from Oklahoma I’ve caught speckled trout bull reds/ slots flounder big uglies/ black drum and just about all inshore salt water fish they have in Texas. Just got back from a week vacation there and it’ll be hard to chase snakehead being as close to saltwater as I’m going to be when I’m in Maryland lol but you never know lol

You don't have to kill them, as long as you release in the same water you caught it in.. my cooler was full so the little guy got lucky...

Do you prefer using chatter baits and flukes early in the morning then using frogs later in the day. Hit black water today caught a few bass but no snakes.

I mix it up, Usually for me either the Top water Bite or the moving bait bite vastly outperforms the other,,so as soon as i figure out The Snakes "Mood" and what they want to eat ,i fish that technique hard....The Flukes i love to use on days they wont aggressively eat my baits. I finnese um with the fluke..

In the state I live in if you catch a snakehead and let it go it's a big fine. When I catch one I hit over the head and throw it on the bank. They are fun to catch anyway the biggest one I've ever caught is around 9.75 sounds.
