Here are two fragrances I’ve been wearing a lot recently. Both are from Chanel and I think they make a great pair for a two-fragrance collection.
First is Sycomore. Now you might think because of the name that it’s a very woody scent. But this is actually a vetiver fragrance. Vetiver can run the gamut from grassy to smoky and this one is definitely more on the grassy side. It’s one of the most elegant and softest vetivers I’ve ever smelled - reall subtle notes of cedar and vanilla. Simple but intriguing. Perfect daily wear.
Next is Pour Monsieur. I started wearing this 25 years ago and just recently rediscovered it. First spray - huge burst of lemon and lavender. But that softens really quickly and becomes a very classic, classy, and elegant mature gentleman’s scent. You can wear it all day but think it shines brightest as an evening fragrance.
