So I've tried the Charles Albert edition shoes and: - soles too soft - midsole completely unsupportive - platform loses its downturn with the slightest amount of weight applied - forces you to actually have strong feet 2/10 would not use again
Yeah, I'm freaking out normal height boulders. That thing was high as heck with a crazy lip to get around. Respect for the last dude, he killed it with no shoes
Charles's moves on Road Kill are straight up inspirational. After seeing the best boulders getting smacked for 5 straight minutes on A Mellow Switzerland, wow. Get Charles out there!
This video was pure art. The climbing and music was great, but the shots and non-climbing character shots made it feel like a film even my non-climbing friends would enjoy.
Charles is such a chill guy. But damn is Giuliano absolutely ridiculous ! He’s speaks three languages and climbs 8c+. I mean can you leave some talent for the rest of mankind ?!
Most of the time on hard highballs, people will typically rap down to clean the holds and try out the upper moves so you don’t get super high up and have no idea what to do. Ground up means exactly what it sounds like, sending a highball from the ground up, without trying the upper moves on a rope
Can anyone find the version of the first song they use? It’s Spinning my Mind by Yello, but I swear it’s a slower remix. Idk. Either way super gnarly climbing and dope lines!
Ground up is a style where you climb a boulder without checking the moves with a ladder or a toprope, it makes a difference only when the boulder is a highball because it leads you to trying hard moves for the first time when you are already far off the ground.

@@calebainsworth7247 didn't know that. But the truth is that the man lives a bohemian life. Don't expect him to be the guy who follow the rules and who contributes to the economy. The guy has no sponsors and no equipment.
@@ewenmahevas3473 He has a clothing sponsor and he's part of the Mellow mob. He can be as bohemian as he wants, but if you're in SA you pay your permit. The Cederberg rangers build paths, waymarkers and liase with the landowners to ensure access to the climbing areas. Swerving a permit is a cop out. The local rangers don't work for free. I've been a dirtbag myself so I get the ethos...but you gotta pay your dues.
Atlantide is the best!! What tf was Charles wearing! All 3 of you are the best! Who ever fell from the top of Atlantide I hope they are okay. You guys didn't even use the rope
WTF with claiming an FA with grabbing a nearby tree and calling a non-ascent a "ground up ascent"? The pros need to be more strict about this stuff because they set examples
So nowadays you don't even have to make the first attempt, you just throw poo at the wall and say 'still a project' and you already can sellout your climbing movie with troll music
