I am addicted to Minecraft, but I don’t think I’m the target audience. Microsoft seems to think only children enjoy Minecraft.

This is Warner Bros, though. They probably have a lot of control over this, and they're likely trying to make it a funny family movie.

Here's the thing... people are saying this movie is targeted towards kids, etc. Well so was "The Lion King", "Avatar the Last Airbender", "Beauty and the Beast", "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish", etc. But even adults love those. The "It's made for kids" excuse is bullshit.

I knew that this is a life-action film, and I know that I am not the target audience, so I don't feel disappointed. Minecraft is a game of imagination, so I am very open for any plot or lore created by anybody, I don’t have any "only true headcanon" for that game. I will go to a cinema to watch the film because I hope that it will lead to the second revival of Minecraft and prolong the life of the game. I hope that toxic community won't destroy it for joy of destruction.

I'm quite disappointed from the trailer. It wasn't what I imagined at all. I think a Minecraft movie would make much more sense in the style of how Herr Bergmann does his Minecraft films. Steve and Alex isn't what I imagined at all either. I thought Steve would appear as a more serious and sort of somber, while Alex would be tough but someone who gives hope, if that makes sense.

I've heard people criticize the CGI. And you know what? The scene where they walk out into the world looks poorly done. It looks like the greenscreen effects were not done well. They didn't look like they were part of the scene.

They seem to of merged Minecraft & Minecraft Dungeons maybe? It's TOO heavy on the CGI & not enough practical effects! i agree Jack Black will carry the movie, Jason Momoa will bring a lot of his fans to it hopefully cause if not i see this being a flop .. i love the village / terrain artisty but the animals {except the Piglins} look like they took there idea from Sonic or worst still Cats. The creepers are plant based so i am guessing that was meant to look like grass / moss, not hair/fur! .. im hoping, they do something to save this before April but i doubt it, i'll still watch it for Jack Black but yeah disappointed.
