This is just an introductory video on the Blitz War Community mod, a live commentary gameplay video will be following this Weekend; it was a ton of fun to play a Modern Version of Wargame with a focus on balance.. what do you think? Let me know!
I know right? They planned on 2,300 to be delivered to the armed forces between 2015-2020, yet there's been literally less than 100 made. Its 2022 now and they're still apparently trying to get 'experimental versions' of the Armata to the Russian Armed Forces lmao. They were supposed to get serial production of the T-14 up this year and get a test batch of 100 to the Armed forces and they haven't even done that. With the war in Ukraine, it likely the Armata has been sidelined again for like the tenth time within the last decade. RU is a joke and is known for inflating the amount of equipment they have, like when they'd repaint the numbers on their navies jets every time they'd land and take off again from their aircraft carriers to trick the west into thinking they had hundreds when they had less than 50. Id be surprised if they even have 30 fully functional Armata's at this rate.
I thought WarGame allowed for new models to be added to the game when you are introducing new units? I wonder if it’s they can’t cause wargame doesn’t allow it or they don’t know how to model it.
From the BWC discord, it's functionally impossible to add new models to the game (and have multiplayer work) just due to how old the game's engine is and the lack of any modding support. It's using the same engine as the old Eugen Wargames, and much of the reason Eugen abandoned the game was because they legitimately forgot how to work the engine lol (at least, so the story goes, for that last part)
to my knowledge it is not possible to convert the model filetypes from wargame to one that works with common software like blender or vice versa, and attempts to do so have failed. the files for the models in wargame likely can only be edited with eugen's proprietary software. The same roadblock exists for sound files as well, preventing any new SFX or voicelines from being added. So we do have our limits lol For models, we had to get creative - the JASSM model is actually a cluster bomb on one of the swedish planes in vanilla, and i used a transport plane from the campaign strategic map for the C-130 moab
A very good mod, and I'd love to add that there's another mod called Wargame Annihilation which is very similar to BWC, but somehow more enjoyable to me, check it out.
WARNO is already out. Which is basically reddragon 2 Not alot of factions right now, but that will never change if people dont buy the game/support the company.
