Welcome to Wargame Annihilation! I only recently was made aware of this mod's existence and I finally got around to making a video on it! I discuss what's different from vanilla (unmodded) Wargame and how it's different from Ash and Shadows! Hope to bring you more content soon™ - link to their Discord where you can download the mod: shermanator.tv/index.php?%2Ffile%2F68-wargame-annihilation%2F What do you think of Annihilation so far? Let me know!
Обычно меня раздражает когда иностранные лица много говорят в видео роликах, и поэтому я чаще всего смотрю видео немцев, не в обиду им, но здесь это жизненно необходимо дабы не заскучать.
@@badwolf66 Hah. Its eugen. Its not gonna happen. Anyway, its not like there is no models at all so most units look pretty close and its definitely still fun to play :p
6000 hours on WGRD and have basically tried everything from ranked leader board to hosting 10v10s. This mod just takes WGRD to another level and I can see myself spending another 6000 hours.
@@MasonxWashington yea but after like 2000 hours and a whole summer or so,I became bored because i could not played anything but playing sweden was a lot better than america and russia truth to be told. I did not like playing america and russia because I was sick of those countries. In EVERY RTS-STRATEGY GAME I played which are more than a hundred both in pc and console there was always the typical good savor of the world america vs the tyrannical corrupt barbarian communist Russia/Soviet Union .Like what the fuck there are other countries that their military are a lot better than America or Russia. For e.x. The Mediterranean and Balkan countries like Italy,Spain,Greece,Serbia, Bulgaria,Romania, Turkey etc etc. And of course the Scandinavian countries . Everysingle of these countries if you see them from a military stand point (what they have /had and what they achieved) and historically what they have done they are a thousand times better that those two . BUT NOOOOO they have two to put the typical "strongest" countries .
How does WGRD stack up against the likes of Steel Division. I am really into tactical level wargames (Combat Mission, Close Combat etc.) and I was somewhat disappointed to learn that Steel Division is less about realism and more about fast-paced micromanagement. Is WGRD exactly like steel division or is it slower?
this kind of stuff is what makes me hopeful for warno, if they have robust modding tools (especially allowing model swapping like SD2 does) then we could see some truely amazing mods
@@Kesen2003 Yeah I'm not super impressed with Warno so far besides visually. They have some very talented artists over at Eugen. We can say that much. The Dev updates for BA make me more excited. Even if we haven't seen the mechanics in action yet. Hopefully it's everything the devs promise.
I actually started playing Wargame Red Dragon again around a week ago, so I'll have to check this out. Though Regiments and The Troop have been taking up a bunch of my time thanks to your videos.
Im sitting in a dark room and that screen came up with the alliances and it was white with bright blue and red and I felt like that meme of the cat getting flashbanged
Hey Sherman, I actually got bullied into playing this mod a while back by a friend and had a great time even though I don't know much about WGRD I was wondering what's the deck you were using so that I could try it out?
I think it's because that Alliance as a whole is probably seen as a good faction combined, but not if all those countries were put in the game separately
Considering the initial quality of Warno when it released in EA (don't know if they improved it since then, my only experience was playing it for about an hour before refunding and being so dissapointed I pretty much forgot it exists), wouldn't bet on it.
@@theShermanator I've seen that (possibly even on your channel) just waiting for more to come out for it! It's nice seeing these games pop up, but part of me would rather see them pop up with more gameplay and dev commentary or more features if they go into early access (initial release of WARNO being a good example)
I like these kind of mods, but I'm always skeptical because this game is very complicated and thus VERY hard to balance. Hopefully this might be a change of pace?
Colombia has since been removed after I learnt about their politics with Venezuela. Initially I just wrote down all the Nations in South America that were in USAN that were more Red than Blue. Also it should be noted that just because a Nation is on Redfor, doesnt mean it is "Bad" or "Evil" :)
I mean, you can already see right now! :D The mod is downloadable already, and quite fun if I may say so myself. There is just some nations not implemented yet, but they'll come eventually! :D
man seriously why this beautiful games is so shallow >? like why cant they combine this combat with some sort of civilization type style where u choose a country, build your city , military upgrade your troops, conquer strategic areas , then on the battlefield choose your troops , choose your reinforcement, have a field for repair and refill missiles and gas.. like seriously why they dont do it !!! !!!??
Mod has interesting units but it's held back really bad by the really poor balance. They design the mod as if you've got some large group of people to play it with in order to balance out the over-specialization of the decks.
Big balance update coming up, and other people don't seem to have many issues. if you have any specific suggestions instead of just complaining on hear, please talk to us in #balance suggestions!
@@shadow7988 turns out thats rather unavoidable when talking to someone who complains about balance in the comments of a yt video instead of sharing your concerns so we can do something about the balance. about half our changes are community driven.
@@Rerosempire Welcome to social media? It's a video comment section. I commented on the subject matter of the video. Getting passive aggressive at any comment that isn't outright praise is silly. My opinion was shared with my entire group of friends that all downloaded the mod and gave it a go together. Do you want it to be some secret that the mod is designed around larger teams? There's nothing wrong with having your own vision for how the mod and game should play, it's your mod after all, but getting mad at strangers for having opinions and sharing them on a social media platform that's about...sharing content and opinions on said content doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and more likely than not probably gives people a certain 'impression' on the mod and the people making it. I was going to leave my initial comment at that, but honestly the real reason I didn't want to join your discord and share whatever my opinion was is because your reaction to my initial comment gave me the sort of impression that even if I had gone to your discord, I probably would have just been told to sod off anyway, probably with an extra touch of 'git gud' or some other trite, as you very clearly take these sorts of opinions and comments very personally.
Unfortunately, I simply just can't go back to this game because of how toxic the MP community can be. Kinda done with being called the *word every time the enemy pulls a smart one on me.
It kinda is. When our group played it you were basically helpless if someone didn't have an AWACS to jam stuff and prevent units from just sniping from ludicrous ranges(especially stuff like SEAD and cruise missiles were launching from spawn and knocking out low availability, high cost units). There was a general feeling that certain specializations just weren't very practical unless you had someone playing stuff like airborne just to keep everyone else from getting nuked off the map by units they couldn't really protect themselves from.
@@shadow7988 Yes, units have long range. But most SEAD gets outrange by AA. Cruise missile planes take a long time to evac so you have time to kill them, and their missiles can be defended against with SHORAD/CRAM. They also take a really long time to reload. Of course there are some specializations for some nations which aren't the greatest. Lets take UK mech for example, as there isn't many good tanks and the APC are mediocre too. But, we cannot think up units from thin air. Again, I don't know which group this is you play with but if you post your concerns in the appropriate channels we can talk about them and find viable solutions. No the balance isn't exactly perfect yet, but I'd bet a lot that its a ton better than vanilla.
Ye, no. If anything currently Javelins are slightly underpowered. They have low ROF and are expensive to compensate for the top attack and F&F. If you use smoke and don't run across an open field with no support they are fine.
