Why does it take so much damn space! That pocket clip is ginormous and the charging port absolutely does not have to stick out as far.

I hate flashlights that use a proprietary 18650. And it's a shame cause I like this light and others. I just can't do it. This was a great review too! Awesome job as usual 👍

I agree. I wanna give Acebeam a try but at $140 for 1700 lumens, I only paid $99 for my PD36R and 1600 lumens, USB-C rechargeable.

The fact that the pressure switch/quick switch only does one function is great. In high pressure situation I don’t want to deal with confusing multi mode switches.

Yes and that’s fine. But there should still be the option to program both if someone wants strobe and turbo at the same time

Cool flashlight, I like the all black hardware but that pocket clip does look a bit off, even if there’s a reason for the design being the way it is.

Can you do a review on a power bank? One that you think is worth it. Or is their one that you recommend. Looking for a 20000mah that has a type C in/out. Was looking at the brand Iniu on Amazon for 32.99 but not 100 percent sure. What do you think? Always looking forward for new content. Honestly, best review channel on RU-vid. Thank you "bless up"

Many of us have lots of 18650 batteries, usually savaged from laptops and such, others brand new in bundle with recently bought flashlights. A proprietary battery is a true deal breaker to me.

Thumbs-up for mentioning the proprietary battery! The p15 won't work at all with any other standard 18650 😢 (btw the same problem that the "Warrior" models of Olight have)

@@ChrispyThings Actually I don't understand why - "Greed" is not a reason! If it's for reasons of safety/efficiency then there should be a new industry standard - but right now Acebeam, Fenix, Klarus, Nitecore and Olight: they ALL make their own version of this same type of proprietary battery, most of them incompatible to each other - This is insane!

@@patj462 it's really not that big of a deal. It causes a more reliable connection, especially in weapon mounted lights where recoil is a problem. The light comes with the battery and you can charge it in normal chargers and I never had a battery fail on me over all these years so it's really not a huge deal. Sure a normal battery is more versatile but in some lights it's worth doing

@@mikeenslin3009 yes, for now ... but the availability of replacement batteries determines the lifespan of this flashlight - as soon as the proprietary battery is no longer available, the lamp becomes electronic waste

@@patj462 yes i hear you. And a proprietary battery is always a drawback when i buy a light. But for most people its not going to make a difference and i dont think its greed in this case. There is a clear technical advantage of doing it this way and i dont think acebeam is going to financially benefit from all the p15 owners around the world having to replace their broken cells. If the entire lineup consists of these cells and its a very popular brand thats a different thing of course (cough cough olight)

What gets me about companies like Acebeam (FENIX....etc.) is they clearly don't consult law enforcement or military....especially for their "tratical" lights. In this case they just decided to include so many options/accessories....but in a clunky design. No one in LE/military wants to be carrying tons of extra parts just for their torch.....little parts that can be lost easiily.... And why is it so many companies have a sometimes confused idea of how to organize the "lumens spacing".....with HUGE gaps e.g. between MED mode and HIGH, not including a firefly mode, Or including a firefly mode with too high a luens defeating the purpose of having a firefly setting....to have a 2 lm "ultra low mode"???? Lot of compies do almost everything else right then messed it up with e.g. a bad UI or excluding typical lumens modes....no instant Turbo (Fenix).....no one wants their night vision blown out being forced to cycle through Turbo...FENIX isn't thinking....took next to no time "designing their UI"....didn't bother to see what the competition is doing wi th THEIR UI's...heh...

I disagree with you on the pocket clip. The P16 doesn't have that ridiculous clip. I like this light and would love to buy it but that stupid pocket clip is the sole reason i chose not to.
