By Kerbal standards, nothing actually went wrong with this mission, just another routine mission, only a few unscheduled explosions. And ONLY ONE Rapid Unscheduled disassembly, quite amazing if you ask me.

it hurt me the most when he said that he needed 1km/s of delta-V for a larger craft when the whole point of delta-V is that it's the same regardless of craft size

I'm not a scientist or anything, but looks like Kerbin took a pretty violent slap by an asteroid a while ago (0:11 - that giant circle between the menu and the kerbal)

This was truly awesome entertainment. Good job on completing mission while performing commentary, it is insanely hard to do it. I've tried it when playing and every time something goes super wrong :D

I love how he gets confounded on how to get to the moon with just the cam and lm when (assuming I remember correctly) that’s how the real thing got a moon trajectory.

I have that encounter on the second orbit glitch all the time and never could figure it out. Your videos are literally the only place ive seen this glitch outside of my own game too. Many attempts at googling this issue have failed

Hey Matt. I did the same thing with parachutes as you did on you Apollo 11 recreation. I found if you have the shroud deploy first then you can deploy the chutes, there’s no problem. (I staged it before the parachute stage)

I love this live commentary and not-sped-up footage of you playing! Please do more of this! Maybe you can do more missions from the DLCs? Or just your normal videos in this style? Anyway, I like it ^^ (and please do more Whiskey reviews)

I've seen it twice already and played it in between. Very nice video, thank you. I've used the big booster (transfer fuel from the second stage) to get to Mun orbit with free return trajectory. 2000 points can be saved with quick take off from the Mun, so that's probably where I lost the gold. I wonder however, since I had so much spare delta v (I used 1800 m/s to slow down on Kerbin reentry), there could be a way for a suborbital docking and saving the lander. Re-fill it and leave it on a stable orbit...

You're question around 14:20... the same type of thing happens to me ever since the last update. It seems to be trying to display a rendezvous coming up from future orbits, instead of the current rotation. I'm not sure if it's a bug or not, but it is very annoying!

Keep at the American accent! One of the best parts. This type of mission wouldn't have worked remotely as well if not for the live commentary with all the surprises the mission threw.

Loved this! I would like to see you create your own Apollo 13 mission that was up to your standard.

I got this DLC last week and built a Saturn 5. The capsule payload fairing is now working yay. No problems with contained radial chutes

I haven't detach my first stage when the second stage engine explosion happens, so I just transferred the fuel back to the first stage and continued using first stage engines... Turns out there was more than plenty of fuel😅

Hey Matt, I know this is a kerbal channel but simple rockets 2 just had an update. The game has astronauts now. I think you should try it out. Awesome video though. I tune in every Saturday.

i do the mission stuff sometimes. no point in it really, but i enjoy doing them sometimes. it actually taught me how to use the grabber and how to move around as needed for docking and such. well, between that, you and Scott Manley, im pretty good at KSP now.

Lol i loved the real names of the astronauts cause i was trying to remember the actual names they called them in the movie and you just caught me off guard 13:35

Apollo 13 started off on a free return, but before the explosion they made a course adjustment that took them off that course, (i think it was so they could impact the s4b) It wasn't until the mission abort that they made another course correction to get back on a free return.

the austronats names were Fred Haise, James A. Lovell and Jack Swigert. Fred Haise was the LM pilot, James Lovell the commander, and Jack Swigert the pilot. Fred and James were supposed to step on the LM and land safely in the Frau Mauro highlands. But 254,000 kilometersin space, what happened to Apollo 13 was caused by an explosion and rupture of oxygen tank 2. They depended on the Lunar Module, just to stay alive and used the LM descent engine for their burn, since the astronautes and NASA didn't want to risk another explosiond caused by ignition. The oxygen became toxic, since the LM waas supossed to hold a man for about 2 hours, and three men were living there. In six days, they returned safely home.
