The mural of the astronaut is next to some good history. Along that alley on the left is the entrance to the world's oldest surviving music hall - The Britannia Panopticon, where in 1906 the legendary Stan Laurel made his stage debut. His dad was the manager of a different venue down beside The Scotia Bar (long since demolished). 💚🐇🐴💚

Glasgow is a phenomenal city. All the best people come from there, or adopt it :P It was definitely rougher in the past - but I think that's why folks are so down to earth. Weegies haven't forgotten where we come from, or how far we've come. And no matter where we go, we'll always belong to Glasgow :P

You're right about the rain, we have it, but, it's not angry rain most of the time. Avoid November anywhere outside in the UK. The rain goes sideways ;-)

As someone who as a teenager went to gigs in Glasgow in the 90’s, the city centre wasn’t really the issue and my friends and I never felt unsafe when rushing to the last train home from Glasgow Central. It was some of the schemes (housing estates) that you had to be cautious of or avoid altogether…though it was the same in the large town next to the small coastal town I grew up in. The attitude of the people of Scotland is pretty much the same throughout the country even if their opinions on certain things may vary. I think it’s also a general misconception that all three countries on the island of Great Britain are interchangeable when they really aren’t. The political union of the UK didn’t take away their individual histories and cultures and languages. Though I daresay that you also discovered that the North of England is pretty different from the South East of England too and the South West is different again. Though there is nothing inherently wrong with trying to see as many parts of the countries that you could reasonable manage during your visit but you will get a better understanding for the different parts if you stick to a smaller area to immerse yourself in. Though I’m sure the overview that you’ve had on this trip has given you a better idea of what will suit you best on future trips.

The Square you were in at the beginning of this video is George Square. So many films have been filmed there. The newest Indian Jones, world war Z, fast and furious 7. Just a 5 minute walk away was the necropolis where the batman was filmed.

Hey Spencer. I used to volunteer on tripadvisor for York and London. The mistake many Americans make is they try to cram too many places into their limited vacation time. I get you guys look at a map and think well the UK is smaller than some states so we can do a different place a day. But it's not factoring travel times, changing hotels etc. Anyway if you get to come back most places you've visited would benefit from going back to depending on what you'd like to see/do. Btw do we take it you left a bit of you in 'Scotland'?? 😁

Fun fact: the main square and surrounding roads in Glasgow was where they filmed the beginning of the Brad Pitt film, World War Z. Watch it again and you'll notice the buildings.

Greggs is not gourmet, but the main attraction is the price and the fact that you can rely on it being the same standard wherever you go. The Steak bake is my favourite but a lot of that is the gravy is beefy crack.

Omg I love him. Loving the vlogs to. I’ve never been to Glasgow but my son lived & worked there a few years back. He said I’d definitely love it there. I’d love the people to as he said they are like us scousers. Down to earth friendly & funny as f*ck. He made a few mates there as he says friends for life. It saddens me that the Scot’s seem to hate us English but I don’t say I’m English I’m Scouse . Plus I have 2 Irish grandparents ( paternal side) then one Welsh Nana & a Scouse grandad ( maternal side) ( whose parents were both Scottish. ) my husbands grandparents were all Scottish. I love the Scots Irish & Welsh. And of course the English as I was born here. Loving how much you are enjoying your UK trip. You will love the Geordies. Also salt of the earth people. A lot of people struggle with certain accents. I understand the Glaswegian accent fine but they talk fast like us Scousers. For me an Irish accent ( southern & northern) & the Geordie accent I think are the best accents! Especially a good looking fella from Ireland wow… definitely yes! Same with the Geordie accent x I’m not sure how long your trip here is for. Can’t recall if you said how long you would be here. I’ll definitely make a wager though! I bet you love the north more than the south 🤷‍♂️🤣 because imo us northerners are way more friendly. I’ve lived & worked down south & worked in London. Most miserable time of my life honestly.
