Listeners from all over the world are half-convinced when they see a performance in a music video. Then they see a live performance and are shocked. To answer a couple of questions... "Do they only ever wear white?" Well yes or at least we think so! They've always appeared in white costumes in videos and live performances until now with the exception of a studio live show they did when they all dressed more or less as they pleased. It's so characteristic of them that they are sometimes known as "The White Wolves". However they just announced the addition of a new bass player following the departure of their old bassist for undisclosed personal reasons. They released a video to usher in a new era with the new bassist and, just to mess everybody around, filmed the video all dressed in black! This has led us all to wonder if black is the new white as it were and whether this is the new official look. You also asked if they have any slow songs. Well while high energy power metal, thrash and traditional metal might be their signature, they do mix in some slower tunes as well. possibly their slowest power ballad is "Epilogue"... a spine tingling masterpiece that I think you might enjoy. This is the video that blew up and brought them to the world. There is a cleaned up version on their official site. The crazy thing is that they play it perfectly live.

The reason they wear white is because they all have a height between 4'9" to 5'3" and when they play live, they wanted to be seen. Wearing black would keep them from being seen. Now everybody here is saying they are wearing black due to a short video introducing their new bassist. Nobody knows what the band is going to do in the future. Another thing is, yes Asami (vocalist) does have a thick accent. English is the most difficult language to learn and speak. Over a period of 5 years she is getting better. But also, if you were to sing in a foreign language, would you sound perfect? We should give lots of credit for even trying.

Midori and Miyako are one of the greatest guitar duos of all time. You'll agree once you see and hear them play more and more of their songs because they are phenomenal together.

You reacted to “Swan song” 6 months ago. “Shadowmaker” is becoming a metal classic tune. Yes, those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. One of the best, if not the best, metal band nowadays (male or female ). Miyako is a concert-level classical pianist. Miho (bass) left the band August last year, but a couple of weeks ago the band announced the new bass player, Fami; so now they’re ready to take the world by storm. Their live performances are outstanding so, yes, they play this song live flawlessly and effortlessly. Some people say that they’re from another planet. By the way, this is the wrong video; a new video with no ad was recently uploaded. For a slower tempo I suggest “Empty daydream” or “Epilogue” (both live)

They always wear white on stage to stand out and to be different from all the other metal bands who wear black. They are the lone wolves of heavy metal and have a wolf pictured on every album. Hence the name of the fanbase calls themselves the wolfpack.

This video was the “official version” until earlier this year when the record company put the unedited version on their official RU-vid channel. If you like guitar solos, especially dual solos, there is nobody comparable to M&M (Miyako and Midori) playing today. Seriously. They covered Painkiller as a fan bonus CD almost 12 months ago and it’s note perfect. I strongly recommend “Signs of Deliverance” from Zepp Diver City Tokyo 2020. At the point the lights drop to a deep red, prepare for a treat. That said, each of their almost 50 tracks has at least one solo, mostly two, that most guitarists would play a whole lifetime and never achieve. Best band ever. That’s a 63 year old opinion……🙂

There's more in their musics than just critizing her singing accent. English is not her first language and she started singing in English very late. I, myself having a hard time understanding what AC/DC was singing but they were very popular.
