I have been listening to this album since it’s release in June, 1991. I’ve been a metal fan since I was 10 years old (1983). Skid Row is one of my favourites.
this is a very very powerful song if you lived it, Sebastian really show's the emotion in this, everytime i hear this song tears stream down my face just amazing
That melody at the end with the guitar is some of the best music I've ever heard. I've been a fan of Skid Row for 30 years and the ending melody still gets me.

Ive commented on this B4 , Sab , scotty , dave , rachel are the best , i saw them in Brisbane Australia in 1990 , jumped on stage and Sab. Let me sing with the band , whent back to their hotel and partied with ladys way out of an 18 yearolds ball park , left still wrecked at. 10 am the next day , the whole band signed my Big Guns tshirt , and payed for my cab home , Sab. Showed me this german beer i cant remember , that was like 9 percent alcohol ,lol, they were a classic band and people , when i left Scotty Hill was passed out on the floor , and thankyou to the lady next week who stole my signed tshirt off my bedroom floor when she left , i think her name was allison or Samantha from Nundah Brisbane Australia.

I guess some people just feel the need to femenize everyone and and everything ..not even close to how I would describe Sebastian Bachs sound his voice was quite original I still haven't heard a voice like his was back then to this day and I remember when they first came out ..bas will always BE Skid Row !
Legit, I was 18, laying in my bed at my dads after living on the streets for like 5 months, I heard youth gone wild, and have been a super fan ever since. I seen them open for Bon Jovi (who I didn’t want to stay for, but he threw one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen, besides skid) they honestly could have been my eras Aerosmith if they would have stayed together and grunge didn’t hit. They wrote music. I wouldn’t lump them into just hair metal, they were so much more. You can hear the blues in that guitar solo.
You should do the Live version from Rio... He does that break where he's screaming without the music and the stage is getting showered with bras and panties lol
Have you guys done anything by Pantera? If not please do the full 7 minute version of Cemetery Gates. Then check out Floods. Pantera actually toured with Skid Row. Most people, the 1st time they hear this song think there's some technical difficulties and here it's just Sebastian going Acapella!! Pretty cool right. Back in the day he was so damn sexy and had quite the set of lungs 🫁on him.
In his book Sebastian said that originally they did a whole produced music video for this song. The band met in a room to watch the video on tape. They all hated it and walked out. But Bas hung back and took the tape out of the machine. So he might have the only copy of the original video for this song.
no i heard it in the 90's when this came out.... so glad i got to live during the time when metal ruled the world..... your generation got screwed musically.

Alright, I've tried to watch a couple of the videos on this channel, I really have. But that girl in the background that just seethes hate for everything she's seeing really takes me out of it. I understand that the channel is called "A Musician and a Jerk", but is there any way that she could be less of a jerk? Y'know, maybe throw a bit more focus on the musician claim.

None of these charlatans allegedly have ever heard the song in question before, but they all love what they're hearing right away ?! Have you ever seen a vid in which these clowns say : oh, no this sucks, this is not my jive ? And explain why they didn't like it ? Now that would be interesting ! That would be real. This is fake, like so many others. If this would be the kinda music they like, I'm pretty sure it would have crossed their ears before and not while we can witness it.
