In this video I cover how to prepare the GTR shocks (Long and XX-Long) for a Slash, Bandit, Rustler, or Stampede. The process is the same. I unbox the product. Fill them with oil and set them with springs. This is a must for these Traxxas vehicles and I cover it step-by-step.
Traxxas GTR shocks are the best stock option if not the best option for these Traxxas Vehicles. The Aluminum caps are an inexpensive temporary fix as you will then start bending shafts. You get what you pay for and it is best to just buy once.
Note: on the 2wd models you will need to replace the lower ball on the front lower shocks with that of a steering turn buckle end balls. The ones in the kit are too long and will not fit in the front arms.
