Steven Furtick is a great pastor (motivational speaker), but this Shawn Johnson speaks with a deeper understanding of God is and how He works because of the work he’s done in this man’s life. No doubt that the Holy Spirit speaks for Shawn Johnson in his sermons. I feel it in my bones.
I am coming back to faith after being absent for 15 years. I'm 29 and suffer from severe panic disorder, so this video from Shawn deeply spoke to me through god. One of my best friends sent me this video from across the country, knowing that I needed to watch it. I have trouble driving, I'm worried about keeping my job, keeping relationships, moving forward in life, but I will now try to learn that it is okay to be broken. Thank you Shawn, Amen.
You will get through this period. Just keep faith & hand it all over to the Holy Spirit every time it overwhelms you w/ fear. I grew up in a hideously unbridled way with no boundaries with all that entails (all the predictable cliches of women with negligent dads, no need for explanation) it led me to a life of abandon & ceiling gripping anxiety and darkness, but you wouldn't believe how much brightness is on the other side. Please look up a book called "Dark night of the soul" by Thomas Moore. The darkness you are going through is so full with lessons & growth opportunities that it's unimaginable. But through it, just put all your fear in God's hands.
U may live in a small fish bowl now pastor Shawn, BUT praise GOD WE are only one ☝️ trumpet sound from that worldly “fishbowl” to AN OCEAN OF LOVE beyond imagination. This is only for a season, eternity is forever.
The Lord is with u, no matter what u feel or don't& in the worst time or in joy=remember Joseph. It too so much to go throu before Gods Dreams for him (& his familie; his nation) were visible to all. Hello my name is aaron and i have listened to shawns audio book twice and it never stops helping me yo relate. I have been going through anxiety and panic for the last 11 months and i am trying to build and trust my heavinly father. It is hard when you are in the thick of it to see gods work but i know he is working and one day i will heal a little more just enough to allow myself to trust those around me and god to finally have that peace.

In a couple days I will celebrate a year here at Red Rocks Church. Ronnie Johnson is who brought me here because I wanted to keep learning from him; He was a teaching pastor at the church I attended for 8 yrs here in Dallas. For several months I went to both churches because I wanted to finish up the series this church was working through at the time. By Easter there was no going back for me. Slowly but surely I was plugged in here full time by then in large part to Shawn. I was searching for something for quite sometime from that other place that I wasnt getting. The sermons were great however many times I left not feeling connected. uplifted yes but I struggled with connection of the messages in my own life at that time. They are a family based ministry church and I'm single & that wasnt where my next steps were & still aren't honestly so I prayed often if "this is not where I am meant to continue to walk my path closer to God to remove me safely from it and without hast." For quite awhile I felt that and then one Saturday like today because of this platform RU-vid. A lightbulb went off a prayer answered really. Shawn spoken openly about his anxiety & depression I know I laughed my way through it as I tend to do to keep myself from deeply feeling it. I've been working through mine successfully for several years now; but by the end of the message I was telling myself... me too... how could he know that? and I realized in that moment HE knows that. Because of you Shawn and the messages at this church I feel present and connected back into my journey in a way I couldn't really put my finger on til now because you have done it again! Thank you Shawn, Thank you Ronnie and thank you Red Rock Church for everything you do, everything you are and for what you have yet to accomplish so that people like me can not only have a personal relationship with God but to feel and be at Home with HIM again.

This message really speak to me. When I was first diagnosed with panic attack back in 2018, it was the first time I've heard about it. What this pastor spoke about is what i have been experiencing over the years. I know God has really been keeping me. I pray that one day I will overcome and anyone else that is having anxiety disorders.

Shawn, God has reached to me today, through you. My soul has been touched, began the revival of my faith after many many years. I was watching random channels today, I’m having a bad day (my depression and anxiety) and then suggested was your church, your guidance, Gods love and here I am, thanking God for bringing me here, restoring my faith and feeling worthy of his love. Love your honesty. I am Jesus's child. Former alkie. Got sobriety the hard way. 6 1/2 years sober living. Takes work though. And anxiety and depression my friend also. But God gets me through it. My mom passed away Oct. 2. Never got closure with her. Have to let it go. Turn it over. But I know I don't have to dwell in depression, remorse or guilt anymore. Jesus saved me. You have no idea how much this has helped. I've been broken for months and was deteriorating, but I kept powering through. I was treating my husband so terribly and I'm so remorseful and ashamed. I didn't know I was this sick. I've finally asked for help, but my husband has left me and has filed for divorce. He hates me, will not speak to me. He has blocked me. I think he's better off without me; I feel completely broken.

I have told God that I am broken and that I suspect that Heaven will be full of so many broken people. 💔 I know that He loves us but I believe that the God of all creation deserves so much better. I just found this guy….heard of Red Rocks but haven’t followed so to speak. I’m 53 , lived in BHam for my college and adult life up until 5 years ago. I attended Church of the Highlands first service at Mtn Brook Highschool and over the years primarily just those We’d night services on an occasional basis. Never joined but hundreds of people I know and and many of those being friends have remained there and apart of COH . I’m def broken and have been so for over a decade…broken to point of not being functional majority of the time. I have lost all support and connection. I’m now in another state living and trying to stay the course for my youngest daughter to finish Highschool in 2 years. But I have to admit I’m not thriving and haven’t been able to find a group of people to walk it out with me. I decided God has had me to do it this way. But I’m losing this fight…..I’m asking for prayer and encouragement

I came here because I cannot listen to Steven Furtick anymore. He had a message with a clip circulating the internet about a message I won't even remember. I do remember him talking about a Bible character and stating how crazy they were and how that was a time before Bipolar Disorder. The words that followed were so ignorant, thoughtless, and hurtful that I don't know if or when I can push past those words to listen to him again. He painted Bipolar people as a prime example of crazy people and flippantly cut through me in a way that solidified my decision to keep my Bipolar diagnosis a secret from practically every one in my life. He wouldn't understand the trauma that caused my Bipolar. He wouldn't understand what it was like to me sexually harassed and assaulted so many times that I purposefully let myself get over 200 lbs to have men leave me alone. He wouldn't know what it was like being so depressed that you considered suicide or what a week in the psych ward for a week felt like after meds caused insomnia that lasted over 8 days in a row. He never considered he would actually have someone Bipolar that listened to him and would find his portrayal of people with Bipolar Disorder a betrayal. All he thought about was making a vivid point in a way he didn't think would hurt anyone he came close to. And, that is how I ended up here. Maybe I was supposed to find this church instead. Steven Furtick is popular, but just as flawed as the rest of us. At least here, I don't feel like I have to hide the broken part of who I am for fear of being treated as lesser than.

@@redrockschurchYT Don't even know where you are but I am sure we are in different states. I am all the way in Illinois and ended up here trying to find a pastor online that gets anxiety. It stinks what he went through, but I felt understood for the first time in years listening to him. Haven't gone to church in person for years, thanks to COVID and living so far from church. I am high risk, so I am isolated apartment from work, shopping, and therapy. Found this online and am glad I did. It's kind of a happy accident.
I am at the lowest point in my life.I know there is no way to go but up. I lost a relationship with the greatest woman I have ever known. I know God is able to restore. I walked away from it because I was not in a good spot. Please pray.
Do you think that "Christian Music Artist" should be making royalties on worship music created for Gods people to worship God in today's churches? Where does worship have a monetary value in the bible?
