Jabra claims to have reinvented true wireless earbuds with their new flagship earbuds, the Jabra Elite 7 Pro. But with so many incredible earbuds selling for less than $100, adding wireless charging or ANC is no longer enough to stand out in a sea of wireless earbuds. So what did Jabra do to make these earbuds so much better? Well, they did a couple things. Let’s get into it.
So to better understand these earbuds, I want to start out with a quick Jabra Timeline
75t buds were the best, with a compact form, great fit, and strong bass
85t added ANC, reduced bass, and added bulk
Elite 3 - I reviewed these a few weeks ago and they continue to be among my favorite
These are now more in line with the 75t, but they feel significantly smaller

Pacific Northwest, with 75t Actives. Another plus for Jabra I'll add is software support. A few months after getting mine, they released a firmware update adding ANC. Not something that was an advertised feature, and I was not expecting it at all. Now, it's not great ANC, but as a free bonus it was most welcome.

I own these. Only ones I need. I use them between 20 and 40 hours EVERY WEEK for about 2 years no zero complaints they serve me so well I’ve put easily over 1000 hours of these I’m very happy with then .. I drive a semi truck and take phone calls on these even with my windows down and almost never get complaints about the sound quality . Keep it up Jabra!

After some reserch I went with sony wf sp800n because I was sceptical about secure fit without a fin. They were very ok, but couldn't get proper seal no matter which conbination and that obviously impacts everything especially the ANC. Decided to order Jabra 7 Pros and fell in love with them instantly. Not only they fit securely in my ear, but the ANC is actually on par with the sp800n with proper seal (which I had with the Sonys only while pressing them into my ears). I also like the Jabra app more, even though the Sonys isn't bad by no means.

Great review. I bought the Jabra Elite 3 and then the Elite 7 Pro's. Both are top notch. For $200 the 7 Pro's provide excellent features and they are smaller in size and provide an excellent seal so ANC is not really an issue. Great sound quality and the call clarity is superior to other similar competitors including Beats and Sennheiser. I highly recommend the Elite 3 earbuds for those who want to spend < $100 and the Elite 7 Pro's for those who can spend $200. Both Jabra earbuds are amazingly great in their respective categories.

I use the elite active 75T mainly for the music quality and passable phone quality. Weirdly they outperform newer options. I got a warranty replacement in the process and am using the Jabra warranty, and recommend anyone who buys them at a store get and extended warranty...or any earbuds over a hundred bucks i guess. I tend to really hammer my buds.

I love these earbuds. Jabra has always put out amazing products. An though the ANC is better on other higher end earbuds, it doesn't bother me. I am not a big fan of ANC. I would take the sound, mic quality and hear through in these earbuds any day over most of the other brands and models

Thanks for the review! It convinced me to get an upgrade from my elite 75t's. These are amazing, worth every penny plus more. I got XM4's and Link Buds S as well to compare because I really wanted the top tier Sony ANC and to have the same brand as my headphones. However, these blew the Sony buds out the water. The clarity and crispiness of music is far better than the Link Buds S and about the same as the XM4's. They also have far better low and mid range with an impressive bass (Sony bass sounded a bit muffled), not to mention they are smaller and far more comfortable than XM4s and about the same as the Link Bud S. Only thing that was worse was ANC and the mic during calling and not even by that much. Could only hear the ANC difference without any music which isn't even what you're gonna be doing so whatever. They are also designed so that the ear tip really fits well in your inner ear and stays put. They didn't even budge during a lifting session which was awesome and I couldn't hear any of the loud music they play at my gym! I've tried Airpod pros as well and honestly these are probably the best overall earbuds on the market rn with the strengths being the small size, premium design and feel, and really really good sound and bass.

I have the 75t's and the sound and call quality is VERY good. However, mine keep falling out. I have tried the other 2 sets of rubber ends with no difference. I've never had that issue before and I'm not working out, just working around the house. Any chance the 7 pro's tips are a different size or material? I contacted Jabre and was very quickly discarded so no help there... Suggestions anyone?

I have a set of 75t and loved it. I bought the 7 Pro this week. Already returned it for a replacement. The 2nd 7 Pro seem to sound better than the 1st but the main problem is with it's cutting off. Both buds have updated firmware 2.0.0 (1033) and Jabra tech support has escalated the matter for investigation. But the pro 7 sometimes turn off audio with only phone on. Sometimes disconnects itself completely. I have to place it back into the case and restart the 7 pro. Very annoying. Apart from that, it's everything I was looking for.

I do a fair amount of flying for work and I bought the Sony XM4's thanks to a little hype and they were recommended by some flying friends. I have an iPhone for personal use and a Pixel 6 Pro for work and the Sony set worked very well but lacked the multipoint switching which ended up being a necessity. Prior to the Sony I used Apple's AirPods Pro. Liked them, ok sound but the advantages of the integration were tough to beat. Then I just got tired of the fit and sound. I bought the Sony's and they were an immediate upgrade in many ways and not so much in others. I found them more comfortable and they felt more substantial in the ear (if that makes sense). Sound was way better. Last month a friend had just bought the Jabra Elite 7 Pro from Amazon for $200 ($60 less than my Sony's) and let me try them out. To me the ANC was slightly better in the Sony but the sound was markedly better with the Jabra. Like immediately. Felt like the soundstage got bigger and the bass went from being good but slightly soft with the Sony's to tighter and quicker with the Jabra. So, went back to my hotel and watched a crapload of RU-vid reviews but this one prompted me to purchase. Thanks Mike!

Thanks for such convincing statement! Your description has indefinitely changed my perspective on these earbuds. I'm looking for a new pair of earbuds, after loosing one piece of my TOZO NC2's.... If any of y'all wanna know, to me they were very satisfying in terms of ANC, battery life, design, music quality and the rest of features that most of today's wireless earbuds come with... I just want a new design look with this new occasion, and I'd prefer if I can find a pair that's under $100 and no less than $50, and round chestnut shape rather than the stem AirPods look. The TOZO NC2's, cost $55, and to my logic, makes total sense when factoring in the tech it's made out off by today's standards! I believe that the reason some earbuds go for 100s of dollars, is because of their brand-name!! You're not paying for a much more advanced piece of Tech, but for the name brand!!

I really don't mind using ANC (I actually disabled it for my Sony MX3). I recently bought the Jabra Elite 3 as a gift and tried them: very good for the price, and love the size and physical button. So the Jabra Elite 7 Pro seem quite excellent to me. If I had to replace my Sony ones, if buy the 7 Pro.

I use buds so versatily (sleeping, sports, travel) that I would have to make some compromise anyways... These definitely seem smaller than the Jaybirds and cover most of the usefull features (ANC, transparency mode, removal detection...)

Thanks for the review. I have the 85T and like the ANC but if the 7 PRO ANC is not as good, I'm hesitant about them. That said the 85T's are a bit bulky. My left side doesn't stay in all the time so maybe the smaller 7 PRO's will stay in.

Decided to buy these today. The pros we’re on sale. Elite 7 active were $30 more. Better setup than Galaxy buds. All had to do was turn on phone Bluetooth. Like that these are pocket size too. Galaxy buds you have to hold in both ears to activate search & they’re taking forever to update their app.

My Elite 75t recently stopped working because I normally only wear one while cycling. The 75t's hero/sidekick design meant I could only wear the right one, not either/or. I intend to buy the 7Pros since they have either/or feature.

I've had the 65t active and currently have the 75t active and the 7 active. ANC is slightly better on the 7 active and battery. 75t active have better hear through. Sound stage is about the same on both. Neither one lags on audio/video play back. FYI - I use everyday during the week while mowing grass.

Greets from Germany! Love your reviews. Had the t65 active, then the t75 active but they didn't stay put in my ears (very small ears, a lot of jump rope training etc) although I loved them. Sent them back and now picked up the jabra elite 7 active right on the day of release. Now I'm checking out the reviews retrospektively🙈 because I have crackling sounds and temporary sound drop on one of the buds when switching modes (ANC, hearthrough), the first 20 Amazon reviews are very bad and I miss the multi point connection. Considering returning them. Looking at alternatives. Especially for everyday commute to work (foot or bike), calls and working out. What's your take?

Used to have the Sennheiser momentum 1 earbuds. Lost one of them and decided to get a new pair. Ended up with Jabra elite 7 pros. The only thing i miss is is holding down either the left or right button for volume down/up. I hope they add that feature soon.

I want smallest form factor with great features (microphone in noisy environments and audiobooks are my crucial factors) under $100. I am really struggling with earbuds staying in my. Galaxy Buds+ so far are the best, but the wings cause ear fatigue after 60-90 minutes. I think the 75t stems are a smidge too shallow and I always feel like they are going to fall out even though I am using the large silicone ear piece. However, with outer ear pain (fibromyalgia), it needs to be very thin so it sits comfortably in my ear…and extra points if I can lay on them to sleep. I think I am looking for the impossible!

I bought the active 75t and yes the compact designs were GREAT with the earphones and the case but the mic quality was definitely mediocre and most importantly the connection gets majorly disrupted in crowded places. Had to return them twice because the issues were the same for both of the pairs.

You can add Sennheiser Momentum true wireless 2 to the comparison and they will probably win the music (sound) quality test, but I would say WF-1000xm4 is the overall winner!

@@johnnymunoz5014 I can't say or recommend any of these models, because I never use them for long period, only quick sound test, but if you're looking for loud great sound earbuds, I highly recommend Sony WF-XB700! No ANC, 9 hours battery and OMG what a bass and great and loud sound!!!

@@mjtia I am a XB-700 user as well, sweet bass is all about this one....I wish ANC was present on this one as well....Jabra Elite 7 Pro or Jabra Active 75t is for ANC calling and moreover 2 yrs warranty from Jabra is the reason they charge more...software optimizations and customisation is better in Jabra....Jabra should have included codecs like LDAC or LHDC at the given price point...not looking forward to buy these just for ANC....Sony 1000 XM4 will beat Jabra any day with better ANC and codec support.

I can’t say I know much about the New Jabra Elite Pro fit. But, I ordered the Elite Pro Active. WOW ! Major improvement with the fit ! I sweat quite a bit during workouts. Sooooo….. I purchased and returned the Jabra 65’s and 75t’s because I just couldn’t get them 2 stay in my ears. I just received my new Jabra Elite 7 Active’s a week ago and after 2 15 to 20 mile bike rides….. My Jabra Elite 7 Active’s are the best fit I’ve ever gotten from a pair of sports ear buds. Actually on par with my Jaybird Vista 2’s when it comes 2 fit.

Thank you. You spoke about the 75 n 85t exactly what I experienced. I owned the 75t for just a year. Use them on motorcycle rides too. They sound great. I was careful with them. When not in use i put them away. One day I put them in my backpack the small pocket and for some reason I forgot to zip it. Later in the day I bend down I seen one fall. But looks like I lost one. Goto bestbuy to buy another pair since they were so good, but they don’t sell them anymore. They had the 85t. I figured they’re new so should be better or at least as good as the 75t. Oh man, I returned them back hours later. Too big, no base, just really bad. I was going to goto Amazon to look for the 75t but it was either too expensive, renewed, refurbished. While watching this review, u spoke exactly what I experienced with both the 75 n 85t. So i definitely could, trust ur take on the elite 7. Thank you and I while be ordering it now.

@@dogusmd7982 sorry for the late response. I bought the 7 elite. They’re ok. They’re definitely better than the 85t though. They fit my ear better they’re smaller but stay in my ears. The noise cancellation isn’t that good though. Idk if u ever wore ear plugs, but that’s what the noise cancellation feels or sounds more like.

@@ComplexWork the 75 had the best sound quality. The elite 7 come close to it. It’s definitely better than the 85t. Better size too.

Great job on video... I sense you don't like Bose and their Quite Earbuds because you never mentioned them in your 'comparison comments'... Nevertheless, THE MICROPHONE outside quality was excellent!! Hope Jabra nails down the NQ aspect, they have the smart engineers to do it...

Hi I'm in the UK and I currently use the Elite 10 for personnel use and will be ordering the Elite 7 Pro for work and they do have Bluetooth Multipoint so I can switch between devices easily

I’m happy with the 75ts but so many people I heard have issues with one earbud disconnecting etc.. but is it worth the upgrade to the 7 Pro? idk

I have the Jabra Elite 75t and just purchased the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro's. Love the form factor, tactile buttons and voice prompts of the Jabra, but ANC and sound (ldac) are way better on the LP3. Cheers from Spain!

i have 75t also.... i do a lot of sports and they fit very well...... what do you feel about lLiberty 3 Pro in fit? do they stay secure in the ears?

@@ricardosalazar5434 The L3P do have a secure fit when you find the right ear wing. That being said, the 75t are smaller and the fit is better in my case. My idea is to keep using the 75t for running and use the L3P for everything else.

Hey, great review. I’m in Missouri and currently looking to upgrade from my Elite 75T’s. Love the sound of these, but the battery life is starting to go. Trying to decide between these Elite 7 pro’s or the Raycon fitness. My biggest issue with the 75t’s is that I have one ear that always tends to wiggle out. Always having to readjust it. However the sounds on these is amazing and the customization in the app is great. Do you feel like these sounds as good as the 75T series?

Nice review. I owned the 65t and 75t, sadly within a month one earbud on each pair stopped working. When the 75ts had the ANC firmware update I thought I’d be a Jabra fan for life. But, the malfunction of each pair was a bit suspicious. I purchased the Sony which I hope last longer.

You can fix this problem by using a paper clip to push into a tiny hole on the ear bud… it resets it. I had the problem a couple of time too but that fixed it. Hope you didn’t throw away.

Thanks to hybrid working, most of us need to attend calls from office, where there are other conversations going on, would be interesting to see if these ear buds can filter out those sounds as well. Probably a good test case for future reviews .🤷🏼‍♂️

You failed to mention the Elite 65T Active. I have had mine since 2019 and they are still going strong. And you can connect more than one device.

How is the hear through and/or anc with wind? I can't stand my 75t's with anc when it's windy or cycling because of the noice. I Got the 75t's and they are amazing! Especially the small for factor and sound quality! I just can't understand why you would want touch controls in ear buds, I just can't imagine without the physical ones.

I too only care about the sound quality of music, and quality in viewing media without any latency, and just about the same importance I'd say, whenever you're having a phone conversation..!!

Mike are u having connection issues? At least once a week I have to reset mine because when cycling through hearthrough and ANC while playing music the voice prompt for it becomes distorted. I've had to reset them twice now I'm hoping a firmware update comes out to address a few issues

Yes, that compact, discreet design and flushness to the ear is why I keep looking at these even if others have slightly better sound. Multipoint omission is unbelievable and is why I have held off getting them......for now.....

The AAC codec used by apple is proprietary and is equivalent to the industry standardised AAC available on other devices. Apple's AAC is 1:1 on par with the standard version of APTX.

For my preference I still think jabra elite 85t is still best, usable design , buttons, top tier anc, good transparency mode , decent sound with eq and most rare feature multiple device connectivity simultaneously

Way too chunky and kept falling out. I went from 75t active to 85t active, and back to 75t active. However, 75t active are terrible for calls in noisy places, but I bought them for running and theyre amazing for that. Now I'm shopping around for call quality and sports, in priority order

As i watch this clip I'm wearing my 75t. Had to exchange my prev set do water damage. However, I bought the 7pro, senheizer momentum, sony WTF4 and I ended up returning all three and re bought the 75, hands down. Best bass, volume level and disgusting brightness killer

Thank you for the review, it would be great if you could not talk for about 5-10 seconds when doing the microphone-tests outside to see if the microphone noise-cancelling can still filter out background noise (wind/cars etc.) even when you're not talking or between talking. This can be annoying in meetings when you always have to manually mute your microphone to prevent background noise when you're not talking.

Are the Jabra 3's and the Jabra 7's roughly the same size, or they smaller enough to notice? I had read that they were a little smaller. I have smaller ear sand I think that would be nice. I am OK with the Jabra 3s...perhaps I should wait for some Google buds pro =)

I just ordered these. They seem like the perfect fit for me. I have sony MH-X3 that are great with ANC. If I am on the go, being active, ANC is far from my highest priority. If anything, its something to be avoided. Battery life, sound quality and mic quality are what matter most to me.

I'm an avid Jabra user. I currently have the 75t's. I skipped the 85t's due to the added bulk. Size and comfort are super important for me in a premium earbud. Excited about this but one other must have for me is multipoint. So I'm planning on waiting until the update comes out and is confirmed to be working as well as the 75t's. Then I'll probably upgrade.

Same here. Have the 75t's and they are my favorite. Have been since looking for something more comfortable/compact with same or more features and performance. I haven't found anything. There were the Back Bay Audio Tempo 30 but they lack ANC. So, waiting to see how the Elite 7 Pro's

I really wish manufactures would stop dropping features that people like and not adding the ones we want. I really like your reviews. you are very in-depth, but I wish you would give a real world review of how these earbuds sound while you are driving and if the person you are talking to can hear well. I bought a pair of 75ts and I love them, except for the only one ear mono, (no choice), and the fact that I did have them paired with my phone and windows 10, but now since some Microsoft update, they have failed in windows 10. It's annoying to say the least. Do you have any recommendations for earbuds that have good sound quality and features that will work with Windows 10? Thanks! Great videos!

I really like wireless earbuds but the thing that annoys me about most of them, is that the case and earbuds are so slippery, i have on several occasion dropped the case and the earbuds on the floor.

I had the old Jabra 75T before and one side has gone missing and bought the Jabra Elite 7 PRO I found it's one of the worse when you try to open the earbuds case to take out the earbuds. the way the earbud case design in such a way that giving me a hard time when I try to open it! I wonder anyone else have the same problem. the Jabra 75T case was much easy to open due to the way you hold the case in your hand, please look in to this issue!!!!

@Mike O'Brien - it definitely worth it - why? I have used it and find that Elite range has softest eargel and more slimmer tunnelling into ear so its less sweaty. They are still improving the firmware. the 2.0.0 firmware update . Biggest flaw with the 75t and 85t was the eargel material and design was irritating some peoples ear cannals - those with more sensitive ear canals like mine. There are some issues with clicks and distortions during some sound ranges and during phone calls with bad reception, so they need to cap off in the next firmware upgrade. Right now Im going through support call steps before I ask a refund to sort out the distortions and clicks. its fine for most frequencies but on some frequencies there are clicks and distortions - should I return it or not Mike? Currently I have to keep using the Galaxy Buds+ whole this issue is resolved or I return it or I wait till next firmware update? oh and multipopint in 2.0.0 update is available and the Google assistant linking.

no newer firmware than 2.0.0 - but they gave me an additional step: If there is no new firmware version available, select Personalize your headset, then Voice guidance language. Select the current language of the earbuds. Tap Update Now and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the update. just tried it I am guessing it reinstalls the firmware and I will see if it sorts the problem. Otherwise back to the drawing board. I live in a bad mobile reception so all calls in the location seem to have some distrotions and some cloud phone systems have bad quality distortions, but Jabra needs to make sure it doesnt distort or cause the speaker to spike past its roof. Thats propably whats happening.
