Something to note, while testing ANC you should always go Passthrough on -> everything off -> ANC on. This way its easier to hear if the anc makes any difference compared to the earbuds passive noise isolation.
I'm not sure the mic tests were done correctly. I couldn't detect any difference when he was cycling through the different modes. Noise cancellation was apparent in other vids I watched. And isn't hear-through just something for the wearer of the buds, not something that comes through in a phone call?
Hmm, the anc seemed average. Mics were impressive and I’ll take your word for audio. With that lvl of anc I think these might be better off on sale, not £200 worth
Great elaborate review. Two questions: - Does the binaural mic generate data that might enable you to plot a frequency graph? - How do you test the latency if I may ask? Also, something seems off with the ANC-test. I did not hear a difference while to the least monotone sounds should be effected. I have the Elite 85t and it cancels out a lot of monotone sounds like an airconditioner or vacuum cleaner, while it has problems with more noises like office sounds (people talking, phones going, doors, etc. etc.).
This is my 6th or 7th Jabra product, and I am quite satisfied of the different models of headphones and true wireless I previously used. And just to confirm that I am not just a spammer, I am writing audio reviews on a specialized website. BUT ... received the Elite 7 Pro yesterday, and ... Jabra, are you really serious !!?? After many audio tests with background noises (music, voices, transports, wind), how do you dare to mention your ANC in your ads !!?? These Elite 7 Pro have ABSOLUTELY NO ANC AT ALL, this is the most incredible scam I never seen. Switching from ANC OFF to ANC OFF (passive listening) makes NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL, this is crazy. Even the Elite 3 have a better passive noise canceling. I am sooo disapointed of this model I have been waiting for such a long time. Side note to add to the deceptions: when switching between ANC/OFF/HEARTHROUGH, the music+the voice announcing the mode change completely sizzles, never heard that on any ANC headphones, this is crazy... Not sure Jabra paid for a solid testing before releasing this disaster. I will just send them back and buy the Sony's I just find awful, but at least they know what is ANC :/ This will be my first non-Jabra product since a long time ago.
Been a jabra user (3 pairs ) over the last 5 years. Dont have these but tried the Sonys and was not impressed at all and I missed the physical button offered with all jabras. I took back xm4's for refund
Could you test the ANC, while the earbuds are also playing some music or white noise? My theory is that when the earbuds are silent, they won't produce the opposite of the incoming noise, hence the ANC seems this bad, but when the earbuds actually play some sound, they can modulate it to cancel out the incoming noise. Actually i was wearing my 85h-s while typing this comment, cycling through the modes, playing and pausing the video. And the 85h ANC doesn't seem to do much either, when the headphones are silent. But when i start the video, the noise of my keyboard disappears completely. And now it tested the 85h-s while they were playing some music, and the PC speakers playing some videos. The result is the same. The Jabra 85h ANC doesn't do much when silent. But when they play music on moderate volume, the ANC is very effective.
I agree with you.... I guess this is also the case with the Huawei Freebuds 4i. Personally he is doing some great reviews, but I also do believe that some earbus do feel if the person is listening to music or not. If not they are saving battery by not really activating the ANC to it's full power. Otherwise I love these reviews, he's doing a great job!
Just bought these, I've owned many other Bluetooth earbuds and I'd rate these as average. In my opinion the senheiser momentums and beats studio where better sounding, but these fit my ear better. These where also more expensive. I'd rate them 6.5 out of 10
Hey man, great review! Which do you think that are the best earbuds relation (fit, sound, anc)? I am waiting for the 7 active, but id like to compare some, thanks!💪
Another huuuuuuge problem with Elite 7 Pro is latency. It has been 1 month wince ive got my Elite 7 pro, and it is almost unusable with videos with 500ms+ latency. That is more than a half of a second for godsake!. They really need to fix this with a firmware update. Until then it is a strong NOT TO BUY product. Elite 75t is a much better true wireless ear buds than this. Having the charge port in the front is very annoying and sound quality is just par. ANC is not strong and call quality is ok. They are coming up with a firmware update om December to activate multipoint, but they also need to fix above issues. If they don't this is a rare failed product from Jabra. Do not buy them yet
In My testing they did average but they aren't as bad as you're mentioning in the latency; Maybe You've received a defective pair; Plz try contactimg the customer support; I agree with the Other Points You've made
Mine also has latency issue when opening insta videos and facebook.. when using on windows is shit as well.. youtube and spotify is fine.. is this normal?
Hi, latency seems to be a real problem when looking at users feedback on reddit for instance. And january firmware update did not seem to have changed anything. I was thinking of getting those (music, cals, but also video) and I'm seriously considering changing my choice....
I regret buying this shit i upgraded to this thinking of better fitting anc and sound but fitting is same as 75t causing uncomfortable in ears due to pressure there is no difference between here through and anc mode no multipoint connection like previous models and case is very difficult to open so i am planning to return this
@@LordBagdanoffYeah they definitely can .. with the Software Updates.. ANC is Mostly software feature working along with the Mics on Earbuds .. Look at The OnePlus Buds Pro Video on this Channel to know more..
Hey Dave, wanted you opinion on these vs flipbuds pro? Most important thing for me is the mic. For reference I got the earfun air 2 pros but returned them as my wife said the microphones were pretty bad.
The Xioami Flipbuds Pro Are the One to get 👍🏻 But if you only care about the Mic and not much about the ANC then Google Pixel Buds A Series is also a really good option :)
@@TechUnRaveled thanks Dave. Between the pixel and flipbuds which do you think are better for calls and overall? I have a Xiaomi phone and live n HK where it's not too difficult to get flipbuds. Just feel burnt having gone through to ear fun products where the mics were lackluster.
@@TechUnRaveled quick update. I ended up getting the newer TWS 3 pro. Wondering if you will do a review on them one day? My thoughts are it has everything I need (price, excellent mic and decent sound and anc). Overall pretty happy. But thanks for giving me the confidence to get xiaomi buds in general!
In My Opinion I like the jabra Elite 7 Pro much more than Beats Studio Buds.. Maybe Bcoz I didn't how they sounded to me.. SO flat and there was lack of Bass.. they might be slightly better in ANC But I'll choose the Jabra Elite 7 Pro over them..
I’m shopping for wireless buds and watching a lot of reviews. I don’t own any product on the market. But you don’t seem to understand how ANC works. ANC essentially “listens” for a noise profile to “cancel” using frequency phase cancellation relative to a predominant sound, say music. ie: absent all other sound, if you play a 1kH sine wave tone at 80 dB and combine it with another 1kH tone at -80 dB and combine them, you won’t hear the tone. That’s phase cancellation. If there’s nothing playing in your binaural ears, the ANC simply generates noise, which is what you have here. This is a huge disservice to Jabra, IMHO.
@@TechUnRaveled the delay in audio compared to video.. As i saw a thread on reditt where many users have a delay in audio when watching RU-vid like the voice of the person speaking doesn't match the lips
I have the app but won’t pair through the app. It only pair manually in my bluetooth in my settings in my phone. Therefore, I can’t adjust setting in the app!
Jabra elite pro have sleep mode to turn off after 15 minutes. I put ear bud out case. Next day i check left ear buds 75 % but right ear buds drop to 25% why ??
I tried a pair of these after using Jabra 75ts for a couple of years. I don't know if there was something wrong with the pair they sent me or what, but the bass was not there at all. I was so disappointed in the sound on the 7 Pros I returned them. The 75ts also had more options for customizing the controls and multi point connections. The video sync was also problematic with the 7 Pros for me. I was very sad. Huge step backward IMHO.
Hello dear I recently bought a pair of earbuds (Haylou T19) and I noticed that my mic isn't working when recording videos or voice messages via messenger or Whatsapp, only phone calls work. I did some research and found some threads where this problem occurs but there was never a solution for this. A Reddit user found out that this is certainly an Android issue rather than an issue with the apps because voice messages with WhatsApp work on an iPhone with the same earbuds. I don't know if it worked in the past Android Versions tho. I use a Xiaomi Note 8 pro on Android 11.
Yeah Man, It's an Android Issue, I've found some workarounds like ; Some Thirdparty camera applications helps you record through the earbuds For iOS it works for the Stock Applications too
