Cold is best, and i even put some in reasealable lunch bags in the freezer and they are like a popsicle with natural flavor. Thank you for sharing this great way.

My grandmother always cut melons like that. I thought that was the only way. A sprinkle of Tajin will take it to a new level.

Nice! For hand safety, though, I would suggest cutting from both sides towards the middle. Always avoid placing your hand below the knife.

Visually..okay. But for those that can only hear RU-vid, an explanation of What you are doing would be Exremely helpful. When one has a sense, one normally either doesn't understand what not having that sense is like, or forgets not everyone does ( as in sight ). Something as simple as " cutting the half mellon, cut side down, into slices from one side to the other vertically, then rotate 90 degrees and repeat..." is more desciptive than " do it like these ". ☆

Just because you decide to cut your watermelon the kid friendly way doesn't mean you've invented something new. Everyone I know does this it's not new.

I prefer using a potato peeler and peel off all the rind down to the sweet mellon, then eat it like an apple.
