Absolutely beautiful...for someone who believes he is an inexperienced gardener you do a wonderful work. I believe you need a creative side to do a stunning garden, and you sir have a creative side. Great job. Even though its only a computer screen it brighens my day to see your garden... Thank you from Ottawa, Canada.
When my backyard grows up, I want it to be just like this. Everyone I come across and I tell them I've started to garden, I ALWAYS mention Moxie Gardens channel as my inspiration. Wow!
I really enjoy your videos. Love how you move this and move that. You have a wonderfully creative eye. That drift wood looks amazing. Thank you for taking us along with you .
Beautiful transformation! I would love to see another Japanese Maple behind the driftwood 😍. Thank you once again for sharing your journey with us. I hope you never run out of projects to do.
Love the way you present your channel! Love your narration. Very knowledgeable! Can’t get enough of your channel. I’m not a new gardener but not top notch either. You inspire this Texas woman!
I’m enjoying your videos so much, how you”eye” spaces in your head😀 you’re teaching me layering…combining plants natural art(drift wood). GREAT JOB! Thank you so much for sharing.❤️🙏🏽❤️
I am so envious, I try to make my gardens look like this using plants that will not only live but thrive here in Phoenix. With the help of trees and 9’ umbrellas and living with a hose in my hand, it can happen. So what if I have to take one shower a month ( just kidding ) I gave up a pool, so I could use that water usage for my ponds and garden.
I love your video and the idea of saving money in winter to buy plants for the summer. I loved to make flower beds. I'm always making new projects and sometimes is hard to come up with the money, thank you very much, god bless.
Another great job. I'd add that should make sure garden against house drains away and do research on particular tree root system to know how far should be planted to not cause foundation problems.
I love the fact that you plant what you love and are not a huge planner! I garden just like you do. If the plant speaks to me, I will find a place for it! Let us distinguish that there is a huge difference between a landscaper and a gardener. Investing in Encore azaleas would be a good choice for you because they bloom 2-3 times a year and you would have color in that area throughout the summer and into the fall. The one that you chose is only a spring bloomer.
I think the encore azaleas are only good to zone six so it would be a gamble to plant in zone 6a. I am in six as well in mid Missouri and I’ve lost both that I tried.
I absolutely love your channel and Garden! I started watching Laura from Garden Answer like you. Several years ago. Got inspired. 😊 stumbled along your channel a month ago. You're fairly close to me. Being in St. louis. I love your ideas and where I want my garden to be in a couple years ❤ cheers 🍻
I would have been heartbroken cutting the wonderful Maple so much it’s take so long to grow them here in the Scottish Border where I live 😢 But you have a lovely garden knowledge hop you take cuttings also x Bless you and your beautiful garden ❤️
I didn't think you had any spots in your beautiful garden to improve, lol. Love how everything looks. That piece of driftwood is beautiful and it looks right at home. I love this channel so much. It really inspires me to go into my garden and experiment. Thank you
I watched the before and after video and I am amazed at your skills and hard work and obvious talent! I didn’t know you could limb up a freshly planted tree.
Glad you're back with another inspirational video. I laughed at the person who said " Moxie Butcherer" I was screaming every time you took another limb off. But in the end, it looks good. Is there any way you can open that back fence up to go around to your back yard garden? That would be exciting.
We have 3 lowes in our area, they have 50-60% off on all perennials after Memorial day. I go to Lowes every week. So cheap. I saw a Hydrangea marked down to $12.50. Everyone nows goes to CLEARANCE RACK
Excellent project! Looks great! I love putting drift wood in the garden it looks so cool. Probably a good idea not moving the smoke bush. I pulled out a lemony lace elderberry last week and it’s struggling, lost all its leaves. Not sure if it’s going to make it. Thanks for good inspiration today.
Play I'm the one from Pennsylvania with 30 gardens and also Stones I like to decorate with all that stuff you do a good job I love watching your show have a good night okay talk to you later bye
I got a berry white last year and I love it. It is definitely a fast grower. And the stems stay really strong so the blooms do not droop very much at all with a heavy rain.
Just found your channel and so glad I did! I live in Overland Park and I am certainly impressed with how good your soil looks! Excited to watch your content 😊
You're continuing to add to your beautiful corner of the world! The golden smoke bush you have - approximately how many hours of sun does it get daily, and iscit mirning or afternoon sun? I just bought one, and I'm debating between 2 locations in my yard to plant it.. Thank you!
You could plant a moss or ground cover in the hole in your drift wood piece. That would be a pleasant surprise. Of course, you may have already thought of that. What are you going to put in the hole where you took out the hosta? You rock!
Man such dedication! Too bad you're not my neighbor. I'm just one man and trying really hard to improve my yard after so many years of neglect. Newbie to gardening so I have tons to learn. I am looking for a medium 6-8 feet tall ornamental tree which can handle full Dallas zone 8a summer sun 10am-5pm next to my front entrance. It will be a challenge as I am picky on what I want.
Love it! I garden the same way, and my gardens evolve as I get inspired. I move plants around a lot. Love that little area, and I covet your driftwood. Would you consider removing the Purple Pride Beauty berry and putting in something with a different texture and/or a different color? To my eye, it looks very much the same as what is surrounding it, so if you planted something to echo your Bloodgood and heucheras, or something yellow, chartreuse, or blue it would break up that sameness and carry your color around.
A plus, what’s the lifespan on the Japanese maple and do you think it’s will grow well in Chicago?you are again doing an excellent job.keep it up,enjoy your channel.
Just wondering. Wouldn’t the japanese maples roots be disturbed with competing azaleas and hydrangeas roots? I am a novice gardener and still lots to learn 🙏🏼
Btw, I’m enjoying watching your channel as I get to take a break from the 100+ degree temps plus we’re having for about a week. 😮You remind me so much of myself in my earlier garden. When I decide to move (transplant) an established plant or have my husband move it to a new (better) home, it’s so gratifying. Fyi: I am in zone 9B (H-Town Houston), so if I can transplant a plant in the middle of summer and it last surely you can in Kansas. Just be sure to water it often, ev., 3-4 days for about a good two weeks and then twice a week for about another two weeks before putting on a regular schedule BUT FIRST, give all your new plantings some fish emulsion as a good root stimulator. “By chance gardening” allows our creativity to soar. Happy gardening.
