The season continues to slowly march towards Spring. Todays video we move to the side garden or the entrance of the property. Out with the old and ready for the new.
Thanks for sharing. I know there’s not much to see in the garden but, I watch to see what your doing and to listen to you talk. I really like your garden and this channel.
Hi, looking forward to your garden dreams coming to fruition for 2024. I will be living vicariously through your amazing garden as a condo dweller with a balcony which I try to make it lush as possible.
I love your attitude...you are very gracious. Also, we gardeners know things have to change as things grow. I am with you recycle, reuse and repurpose! It is amazing what you can do with some piece of junk. Recently my dad passed and was able to get all my Mom's gardening statues and pieces (since my none of my siblings wanted it). Have already incorporated them into my garden, brings me good memories of my Mom every time I see them!
You're lucky to be able to have all of your Mom's gardening mementos. I live overseas so could only bring some small thing home that belonged to my Mom. My 4 sisters don't care about most of her stuff, but I treasure it❤. I did bring home some of her ashes and sprinkled some in when I planted 2 Rose bushes in her favorite color, Coral. That was 2020 and they're beautiful 😍! I wish you many happy years among your new garden pieces. xoxo
So many things around here in nc i see and instantly think of your garden and then think ohh this would be cool to do a project with my babies. Happy Gardening love love the bird houses!
"I can get in here and just kinda... turn off the world..." Those words are the very essence of gardening and interacting with nature. Love your videos!
New subscriber, catching up on your videos, very enjoyable. I promised my husband no more grasses because he's in charge of cutting them back lol. I have a 20 year old zebra grass which I have neglected to split, now I'm going to need a stick of dynamite. I love your enthusiasm!
I noticed the metal stake you used to steady the tree has grown into a trunk & you might want to remove it??? Yes your garden is a magical wonderland & I enjoy watching it coming to life!
Well I enjoy your videos and I like the clean up ones too it's part of gardening and I enjoy your conversation and tips on things.Love the bird houses I have a small collection.Love that metal planter the patina is fantastic! That's a good idea on crunching up the foliage and spreading it .I have been getting some seeds going and cleaning up I did morning Glory's and made a hanger for a bird house and had them climb up the log pole ugh what a mistake!I'm trying to excavate them now 😒It's fun cleaning up the gardens and finding those beautiful flowers and plants coming alive!Thank you Mike for the video hope you and yours have a wonderful weekend!🕊️💚🇺🇸My Instagram is down 😒 so I'm glad you have yt!
So glad you shared the garden before everything is green and lush. It is helpful for new gardeners to see the process year round. Look forward to all upcoming spring/summer videos.
Just beginning to clean up my yard, still around 40s at night, 55-65f during the day. Wouldnlike to see more sun, less clouds and rain showers 😮. Here in 6b-ish Paris suburbs, I have a white Camellia, various Hyacinths and Primaveras blooming and my awesome Susan Star Magnolia (pink saucers) has nice, big buds all over. They should open in the next week. If it warms up ... 😊 I've been pulling out Ivy that's been under a Lilac and spreading slowly the last 3 days. Next up, Wisteria and Rose pruning .. and general cleanup.
I grew up in NW Kansas, and tumble weeds are the worst!!! Watch your vehicles…it shocking the amount of damage they can do to a car. I appreciate the eastern part of the state, no tumbleweeds and very little wind.
Honestly, I haven’t. I want and need to start that project but we just received an inch of rain and so both the liner and under the liner is holding new water. I have clay soil so this is going to be a long path to finding out the issue.
I've got hyacinth already bloomed and daffodils in bloom; tulips starting to pop up. Its so windy that knce the tulips bloom their petals pretty much get blown off in a short time.
