A new Half-Life 2: Episode 3 mod is coming?!? 

Hey. Creator of Interlude here. Wanted to thank LambdaGeneration for the video, and fans for the ongoing support. I'm aware of how some in the community feel about Episode 3 projects, their cancellations and so on, but I think it can't hurt for passionate fan projects from the past, or future ones such as Infinite Finality and Interlude to exist while we bide the time. Either one of us makes it first, the rest follow, and we all get great content, or HL3 beats us to it. Either way, this has been a huge part of my life over the years - and I cannot WAIT to get the demo into your hands. We all just love Half-Life. More to follow!

Imagine Project borealis giving an update

This mod looks deadly, but I'm amazed at how the two tracks showen emulate Kelly Bailey's style peefectly, like with original music for most mods you accept it's going to be a different style, but the fact that this seems to try to be as faithful to the valve games is impressive

When Valve doesnt deliver...we do it ourself. Between Interlude and Infinite Finality we're getting two very good Episode 3 mods

The last time some people were making a HL2 EP3 Mod it did not end well so I hope this time it'll be Diffetent

i really hope that this will be the first full episode 3 mod to release, everything sounds very promising especially since they're going for an episodic-like experience instead of trying to push the mod into something more modern like boreal alyph had tried to do.

I hope that unlike the other mods about Half-Life 2 Episode Three, this one turns out well

I am so excited. A mod that genuienely feels like something Valve would have actually made in 2008 rather then some awful modern lore-breaking mod that people make for EP3 today.

If the music is anything to go by, this is going to be awesome...Sounds like he's taken as long as he needs to get it right and level himself up which is a nice posistion to be in rather than having to force something out for the sake of it. Looking forward to this 👍

I hope there’s actual dialog from new npc’s so it feels as fully realized as entropy zero 2.

the second teaser looks very good, captures the feel of HL for sure

The second music track, Vortal Soltice, sounds too similar to one of the STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl tracks. Specifically to the menu title of the game. I guess it got its good inspirations from there.

I wish people wouldn't compare this or try to have it line up with Entropy Zero 2. While that mod is awesome, it should have no part in this mod.

I forget all the names at this point, boreal alphyh blah blah this that knick-knack paddywhack. you'd think if they just all collaborated they'd get something done or at least have enough of a foundation some successful teams that did things like Entropy or Underhell could act as the strings to bind them together and finally put it on a shelf. It truly is a vibe to have been a l33t gamer your whole life and actually become "over" your favorite games. I'm just over it lol

Although I will say Entropy Zero 2 is the closest I've ever felt to actually playing a proper third half life game.

Another mod that has resurfaced is urban chaos originally known as opposing force 2 urban chaos.

modders just need to get Mark Laidwal and make the mod with him.

Since 2013 and I always believed to see a HL3 experience made by the fans, we are getting closer and closer to this dream. I will definetaly check this mod when it comes out.

I'm very excited by this MOD ! hope we will have finally a very good Episode 3 that could have been with valve itself.

I think the only thing I'm a little iffy on with what they've shown so far, is that the Hydra model they're using looks like it's the model the NPC from the leak uses and it doesn't have transparency for some reason, causing the UV errors on the model to be pretty apparent. It'd look much better if they used the E3 Hydra model instead and kept the transparency, that model has glowing innards that you can see from the outside and in general is much better looking. It seems like it'll just be an environmental hazard, replacing the leech kill barriers, which is a good idea because there's just no way to make those things fun to fight, so I think that's a good use for them, the model could just look a tiny bit better imo. Otherwise, the mod looks fantastic, I'm pretty stoked to try out the demo.

i believe it's about as good of a time as ever for valve to crank out hl3. the half life games are notorious for their revolutionary traits. hl alyx was, or is the best vr game to date. i think the innovation of hl3 can simply be a good game. people are craving great games, many long the nostalgic past. a really damn great game, basic, but great is all they need to make. hl1, 2 and alyx are all linear story driven games. hl3 will be a linear story driven game.

the fact that their taking the half life alyx ending into account and you have to find out what happened to alyx just makes me so interisted and sad honestly

I may be wrong but i used a weird encryption method and with help of an Ai The message says "THIS IS A TEST MESSAGE FROM THE ENCRYPTION IS BROKEN" or its probably "THIS IS TEST MESSAGE FROM THE CIPHER" as again iam not assure if its right or wrong

All the Episode Three mods rated by me: The Closure - trash Arctic Adventure - mediocre Ice - what the f Infinite Finality - isn't out yet, but looks amazing Interlude - same as IF

I think it'd be legendary if, in this mod, Dr. Mossman has been captured by the Combine. That would make it fit perfectly with Entropy : Zero!

There have been literally hundreds of these attempts to make an 'Episode 3' mod. I would not give this one any attention because it is without a doubt going to get dropped. A solo dev with no prior map releases trying to release an ambitious project is not a success story. One look at the ModDB page and you can tell it's all talk no action.

To be honest this is becoming tiresome
