Hahaha yes I know! It’s great isn’t it. That’s why I dont care if I don’t do Whatculture numbers because I can just be me and not pander. The squad is the greatest, just normal cool chilled out people.
You can screw right off with your "civilized" Crap, you Sissy'fied Tweety Bird.😤 Haa! Just kidding, it really does generally seem to be nice in the comment section of most of the channel. I'm glad I discovered it almost a year ago, MarkyD really rounds out the Wrestling content I tend to watch. Between MarkyD, Cultaholic, WhatCultur and Wrestling Bios I pretty much have whatever I'm interested in covered. I also check out Wrestlelamia aswell but MarkyD, Cultaholic and Wrestling Bios are my 3 top Wrestling content sources on the internet. 😄👍
@@Markyd123 It's a kind similiar situation with doubleJ years prior, isn't it? xD Both well past their prime holding titles instead of younger talent because it would lower the "quality" of the champion right? :D
I've always said rosemary was the modern day daffney. Which is why i really wanted her to succeed. She was fun, and unique and entertaining to watch. A damn shame what they're doing with her now.
Impact hasn’t had a clear direction of where they wanna go or what type of product they want to present since like 2008-2009, it’s all just content, they just go with the flow of the industry.
The fact that Tommy Dreamer holds any form of gold in 2023 absolutely blows my mind. Did he do a Zach Ryder and make it up himself, or is that a legit Impact acknowledged title?
yeah i mean i respect dreamer and all but he got the ecw world title reign at the end. he should only be working backstage or putting over young talent at this point. he shouldn;t have a title and yeah the crying is a bit overplayed. even if it's genuine its like man enought already lol
@@doodtheman2508 true i am not upset the title is mainly a joke belt not as bad as 24/7 but just a notch above. so kind of their tv title with a modern name
Kozlov's a name I have not heard of in a while. Welcome back, Kozlov! I also would want to attend Turning Point 2023...but I live in Hawaii and lack teleportation powers, so I'm outta luck on that one!
If I lived in England, I would definitely send you a mail haha. This show needs some damn storylines though. Much of today's wrestling is open challenges and matches just to see which wrestler is better. The writers definitely need to check out some episodes from 2007 to see how things should really be done.
Anjelico is still in AEW; I think he's mostly doing Spanish commentary with Dr. Luther and Serpentaco (they're all known as the Spanish Announce Project, which annoyed that Spanish Announce Table tag team who don't have any personality). He wrestles occasionally though.
From what I understand Steve is legit legally blind, but it's more that he can't see clearly than can't see at all. Not sure if he should be driving though.
you're 100% right about the women's division. I like rosemary because she's entertaining off the show on social media. and I personally thinks she's fire lol (I may be a minority on this ) but I guess no one else does lol
About the Steelz/Purrazzo partnership, the week after Impact 1000 there was a segment where Deonna and Tasha decided to form an alliance. Yes thats not a good enough build up for a team thats challenging at Bound for Glory but it wasnt as random as Deonna randomly coming out during a match Also omg agreed about Trinity and Mickie. This is a world title match and you dont have them appear at all? Like whats going on lol
The first time you see it, it is pretty cool. Problem is past that original okay that’s different pop it’s not believable at all, not only does it look weak but it’s honestly not that impressive when compared to other high flying lesser impact moves. They needed a new finisher years ago, with trey and zach reuniting being the perfect opportunity to do or even Reed and Trey on the indies while zach was still in the fed. Don’t get me wrong they should definitely keep it in their arsenal as it is a unique move that requires comparatively little effort, but it should not be how they end matches instead transitioning it to a normal tag team manoeuvre/signature.
I agree with your take on sami callihan he really carried the company when they needed him the most, and the fact that there letting him walk away is ridiculous, impact has fallen
Sami really did take on a large role when they needed guys. I wasn't a big fan of his when he entered, but he certainly proved himself. Probably one of their top 5 wrestlers of the past several years. Granted, I haven't kept as up to date with Impact as before.
@@willisskull2676 Same here when he first went to impact i was ok that's fine because prior i knew him off lucha underground, then the whole thing with eddie edwards and his eye he got a lot of criticism about that, but what made me a big fan of his was the feud with tessa blanchard, seeing the matches they put on,the promos they cut,it felt personal and it was great i knew then he was amazing,i heard jon moxley been talking to tony about signing him there a team on the indies so i understand
Angelico is still around, he mostly sticks to jobbing for AEW/ROH, he was on the internet only Dark and Dark Elevation shows a good amount but since those got cancelled he's made an occasional appearance on Rampage.
Man I feel really bad for former Rosemary. She was one of their most popular female wrestler on the roster and now she's jobbed out to whoever that is and pretty much seems like they got nothing for her.
I think and I may be wrong…but her body has broken down and she can’t do so much anymore. But she should be doing character stuff because that’s where she can make an impact.
@@Markyd123 That's very hard to read. If anything watching her now only make me miss the old Decay and especially Rosemary more and keep thinking that she was more than what she's been doing nowadays. Cheers MarkyD123!
@@Markyd123you are spot on. She isn't young anymore and she had both knees done and forgot but it was both acl or MCL.....I forget but she had major reconstruction on both and a shoulder done as well if I'm not mistaken
Dreamer teaching a blind person to drive?!?!?!?!?!?!..ECW !ECW!ECW!... MARKYD thanku for making me laugh whilst igo through some personal crap🙏💯means alot n its a gift you hav got.Your channel about all things wrestling is informative and funny at the same time and you smash it MARKYD👊
Shelley/Alexander and ABC/Rascalz have had story for more than a few weeks. Hell the Shelley/Alexander feud has been boiling since Alexander came back from injury
@@The80sWolf_ Is it too much to expect that the wrestlers hit the gym more than the referee? The ref looks like she can annihilate the wrestlers she's in the ring with.
@@Markyd123based off of her Twitter she used to wrestling & do Muay Ti but now mostly just Refs & does live streaming. NGL I went deep on her “Media” on Twitter she’s got the best kind of “bad” tattoos.
@@Markyd123Angelico signed with AEW back in 2019 when AEW started The Owner of AEW Tony Khan purchased Ring of Honor in 2022 so now Angelico is on the Ring of Honor roster and he will be challenging Eddie Kingston [The current Ring of Honor World Champion] soon for the Ring of Honor World Championship
@polsdofer bro, just call them Tna still anyways, majority people do, the few marks that actually go out of their way to say impact are outnumbered, eventually they'll have to embrace their true Identity lol
Dear sweet god, it amazes me how far Impact has fallen. You go back to mid 00's and see how they built themselves up, and you take a look at the roster they had going into 2010 and all the talent Hogan and Eric brought in, then after a few years it all went away. Pretty soon, most of the stars were gone, then we would see someone in the main event scene for a while then leave. I was a fan of Kozlov during his WWE run, loved his gimmick and wanted more. I don't know what Impact's deal is now, but it doesn't feel the same. It's literally a dumping ground for WWE and AEW, or a pit stop for their wrestlers. They got a few decent guys, but from my perspective, they are wasted and have no one to feud with. Impact will just elevate anyone to the main event. I haven't been watching Impact as much as I used to, given how depressing it's gotten. We can't say Impact didn't have it coming. From Dixie bringing in Voldemort half a dozen too many times, to Hogan and Eric spending all that money, to Dixie pissing off executives more than once, to Double J and Anthem changing it to GCW or whatever. (The less I think about that era, the better.) Aj Styles, Sting, Kurt Angle, Abyss, The Motor City Machine Guns, Jeff Hardy, Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, James Storm, Bully Ray, the names go on. Bad Influence was on another level. At one point or another, TNA was stacked. Bobby Lashley was there for a hiccup, then by the time he came back, the damage was done. Respect to their current roster. I'm gonna wrap this up since I'll rant forever. I'm passionate about old school Impact. Marky D always does a great job and he shares that passion for Impact. It's scary to think if AEW has already peaked like Impact did. Cheers, Impact fans. We've been through quite a ride. Here's one last thing just to trigger some fans as a joke: Marky's favorite Rob Terry is a better worker than Kenny Omega. :)
@@Markyd123 Trinity’s got a much better body than Tiffany, and Kelly’s got a much better lower body. But if by “traditional appeal” you just mean white chick with big t**s then yeah Tiffany’s got them beat I guess.
Impact's biggest advantage and disadvantage is their poisoned brand identity. It cannot grow it cannot become smaller than it is right now. For Anthem, it's still a vanity/project where they are happy if it's profitable. They are putting on good stories for years now but they are defacto no.3 in US and people just don't have time for this much wrestling.
Which is why they should focus on a different wrestling take. Why would most people watch this over aew? It’s essentially the same thing with a worse budget. Ecw and lucha underground are fondly remembered because they had clear identities.
I guess his acting days are over for now, I think he’s an actor I remember I watched a video on where were these wrestlers who were released years ago and I swear he said he was doing acting or being a stunt double So yea he’s an actor of some sort as he appeared in Fast & Furious 6/John Wick 2 and Burn Notice He’s also a stage actor as well doing stage roles in Ukraine
I wrote in another reply I went to Victory Road with my Dad last month, and right when MK Ultra came out I was like *please make it stop, stop the pain or embarrassment*. And I'm a huge fan of both of them, soooooo
If I could make a suggestion, come to Newcastle? Yes absolutely, I'm biased because I wanna see the Hawk squawk outside What culture HQ which is like a 10 minute walk from the venue and if you don't agree with that I'm putting you on tomorrow's menu!
I always wondered how a "Fan's Revenge Match" can even take place. Since wrestling shows are cautious about fan interactions during matches, I'm guessing those around the ring are told what they'll be doing.
@@Markyd123 yeah she is getting too much muscle mass too. it;s like being in good shape or muscular is fine but you don;t need to look like scott steiner. lol.
The problem with the booking in Impact is that their roster is so thin and whatever talent they CAN hold onto is usually gone just as fast as they came in. So they can barely keep a storyline going out of fear AEW or WWE might sign their guys before a conclusion. Otherwise their roster is a literal "who's available" of talent.
your kidding right fear of what wwe & aew taking them and turning them into a jobber. wwe are a company that don't understand talent look at cardona and myers. a guy like crazzy steve would never get a shake in wwe
@Markyd123 now let's list the talent in wwe that has barely done anything in years. Aj styles is a big one the keep bringing back bronson and doing nothing tbh you can name 90% percent of the roster especially every team and women
@vegetalover9297 wwe has so much talent but so little good booking. Look at us championship they have pretty much killed the belt. They have recently booked rhea in a way akin to reigns meaning her title also looks meaningless. The undisputed tag belts having been booked well in nearly a year they keep putting them on makeshift teams
